I've been a fan of the series off and on since I was 12. Watched the 4th and 5th Doctors on PBS, and even caught the occasional 1 and 2 series there. Been watching since the 2005 reboot and have liked each of the actors in the role and thought I would like Capaldi as well...I have had a hard time enjoying his character, and it isn't his fault. his acting is good, but I feel the writing has not given him a chance. After a rough season/series 8 the 9th season is an improvement. Less focused on Clara and more on the Doctor...this helps the version of the character grow some. But it still falls into the current Moffit trend of trying to build a giant puzzle out of the season...easter eggs like the words Bad Wolf or Vote Saxon in earlier seasons were fun when they paid off, but Moffit tries to make the audience feel dumb for missing the clues. Fingers crossed season 11 with a new crew writing and directing will breath new life into the show.

This season of the 12th Doctor's is vastly improved and overcame the uneven tone of his first season. The biggest change in this series is the number of two part stories that still exist into an overall arc of events. Even more impressive is Capaldi's solo performance in an episode that makes "Groundhog Day" look like a walk in the park. Also an added bonus is the closure to the River Song story line in "The Husbands of River Song."

Doctor Who fans have to shell out big bucks for these sets, but at least this time they included an entire 12 episode season and 2 Christmas Specials. Throw in a ton of bonus features and the fact that this set shows the end of Companion Clara's run on the series (the longest for any Companion so far) and you have a must have set. I recommend it to all.

This is one of the better seasons of Doctor Who overall. It shows great emotion for a team that has been through a lot and what they are willing to do for each other. My only complaint is that on the last disc there was a minor scratch that made an episode skip about 10 minutes, so I will exchange this soon but overall it was a great show!

Season 9 with Christmas special! Picture quality is excellent. Great extras including prologues, commentaries, deleted scenes, interviews and more. There will not be a regular season this year (2016) other than the Christmas Special :( get this to tide you over

Excellent show, some of the episodes mid-season were a little disappointing. Final episodes were a little hard to follow, but the season set is a must have because it's the send off for a fantastic companion. And the last Christmas special was funny and clever.

Absolutely an incredible series of Doctor Who. Capaldi's Doctor pays homage to the Doctor Who of the past. Reliving and continuing stories brought to us by Tom Baker and David Tennant among others. Definitely worth watching for new and old Whovians.

This series came in a standard blu ray case unlike some of the others. Slipcover is nice, but I prefer the bigger boxed sets as they’re more secure.

Great series at a great price! I got this when Best Buy dropped the pricing at a low value! Would have been better if it came with a digital copy as most Blu-rays do.

I love doctor who. Peter Capaldi is excellent as the doctor. Not my favorite season as far as the story and episodes go but Capaldi keeps it fun.

I have to say this is the best season yet for Peter Capaldi's 12th Doctor. He really makes the character his own and his acting is incredible.

A good season worth watching. Capraldi still does a fantastic performance even though I'm a fan of the David Tennant era.

Good show. I like this doctor, but not as much as others. Sad that Clara had to go, but the sonic screwdriver at the end is awesome!!

Season 9 did not top season 8 but I still enjoyed season 9. I was sad that Jenna Coleman's character had died.

I have been watching dr.who since I was a kid seen most of the doctors the show is better now than it has been in the past

I'm still not totally sold on the latest doctor, after David Tennent and Matt Smith, but he's slowly growing on me.

I watch the show so I knew I needed to own it so I went out and bought it. No regrets or buyers remorse.

The price was just too good to pass up for a Doctor Who complete series.

He is not "my Doctor", but the story lines are very good and entertaining. Any Who fan would be pleased.
