I love Robert Downey Jr. so, don't get me wrong. The talking animals were at best, at child-level, of technical expertise. The plot was razor thin, and had virtually no surprises. I blame writers, directors, and effects for the weak product. I think this movie breaks the age old rule, "there are no bad parts, just bad actors." Relax Robert, Sir Laurence Olivier, on his best day, could not have made this movie an Oscar winner! My advice to you RDJ, is pick better parts, or risk a stalling career. Definitely a fun movie for very young minds, but does leave you flat, as an adult. Three stars is a generous rating, almost completely due to its kid-value.

.....then again there is no Dr. In the title of the new story of "Dolittle". I enjoyed the many animals and personalities assigned. CGI awesome as well as, the sound. Would recommend to family and friend.

I though this movie would be a waste of my time, but I was wrong! It is funny, the graphics are great, and the storyline was not expected. And, of course, Robert Downey, Jr!!

I was always a fan of the older Dr. Doolittle movies but I love this one so much more. Great cast selection voicing the animals and Robert Downey Jr is a standout as Doolittle.

Totally enjoyed the movie, a family friendly movie. Robert Downey Jr. gave his usual solid performance. Very well done.

Watched it with my 4 yr old grandson and he loved it. We both did. He was so excited because the animals were talking. Absolutely recommend. Awesome family movie.

I personally enjoyed the adventurous direction of this remake as oppposed to the eddie murphy movies, and Robert Downey Jr is phenomenal in the titular role as the eccentric doctor.

It has got to be hard for people to see RDJ not play Ironman. He is not "miserable" playing Dr. Dolittle, he is acting! And it can't be easy when 90% of your cast is cgi. Fun movie.

Another movie I had hoped to see in the theater but could not. One of Robert Downey’s strengths is NOT imitating a British accent. But animation was well done.

This re-imaginning of Dr. Dolittle was really a lot of fun to watch. A great job was done by all and had a great time. Good effects, and good characters.

This movie was great. Reminds us of the original movie with Rex Harrison. Family orientated. Great movie for the entire family including teens.

Dolittle was such a fun movie, I didn’t want it to end. All the animals were great. Add this movie to your library if you like animal movies.

I didnt know what to expect for this movie, but ultimately it was a nice fresh take on an old character reboot with a pretty decent adventure storyline.

Wonderful family entertainment of a classic portraying the companionship between God’s creatures and humans.

The special effects were pretty cool and the plot although predictable was ok. I liked the soundtrack too and had some good humor in it too.

I enjoyed the film, although I wish they would have fleshed out the characters more, and what drove them. Sometimes the characters felt very wooden or stilted. Robert Downey Jr. and Michael Sheen are two of my favorite actors, and were great as their characters. I was impressed with both the children in the film, although I would have liked to see more action with the young girl. I also would have liked more adventure, or some extra daring-do in the movie. But overall, as a film, it's perfect to sit down with the family and some snacks, sit back and enjoy the fun.

A little different venture for Robert Downey Jr but delightful none the less. The animals were hysterical and the interaction was funny.
