This is tough game. I'm still in the early part game but the difficulty is already proving to be a tough challenge. Some of the levels require timing precision which gobbles up continues if you're as slow as me. BUT the game is fun. Good luck.

I originally got DKC: Tropical Freeze for the Wii U and I loved it. I no longer play my Wii U, so being able to play at home and on the go is an advantage. The game is fun and challenging at times, graphics are good and it contains an all new game mode called "Funky Mode" which is super easy, mainly for kids.

I love this game. The graphics are so colorful and bright and being able to switch between unique characters each with its specialty is a joy. It is surprisingly pretty hard but the charming graphics and characters will make it easier to not get too frustrated. Awesome game!

Game me a lot of nostalgia from the old Donkey Kong Country 64. Very fun.

Gone are the days of simple, friendly platformers: Outside of Funky Mode (which you shouldn't play anyway if you're over the age of 10), this game is brutal. You will die. An absolute blast both in single player and co-op. Worth every penny if you didn't have the opportunity to play the game on the Wii U.

Donkey Kong is back in this Nintendo Switch version of the wonderful SNES Classic Donkey Kong Country. This game is filled with the fun gameplay and wonderful music we have grown to know from Rare. Buy this one!

If you played any of the Donkey Kong Country games on SNES (Or even DK 64), then this is the game for you. It looks better than ever on the Switch and comes with you wherever you go. Includes both the Original, more challenging mode, and a new, easier, Funky mode with an entirely new playable character.

How well I remember playing the Donkey Kong Country game on Super Nintendo years ago. I was so excited when I discovered Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze for Nintendo Switch. I purchased it right away as a gift for my grandson. This game is so much fun with great color, music, and lots of challenges.

I think I paid $35 so my review is based on that price. If you have bought the Wii-U version before it is not worth the upgrade but if this is your first time playing it then it's worth a buy. The new easier funky mode is good for beginners. The cart levels, bosses and platforming is fun.

A fun game with an easier mode for someone who has not played Latest Donkey Kong Country games. Waited for price to go down as it is a WII U port but it does not go down as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Still a lot of fun.. faster pace platforming fun.

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze was one of the single greatest games to be released on the Wii U and if you loved it on the Wii U you will love it again on the Switch. That being said, the port didn't include as many extra features as I would have liked it too, As far as I know all it has is the new "Funky Mode" which lets you play as Funky Kong and makes the game incredibly easier so it is great if you want to get your children into the Donkey Kong games and make it a little bit easier on them so they aren't as frustrated with the difficulty that Donkey Kong Country is known for. If you're a first timer to this game buy it, couldn't recommend it enough. If you're a longtime fan I recommend waiting for a sale or price drop and stick with your Wii U copy for awhile.

The game is just a joy to play. Every level is unique and brimming with charm, from the begrudged but determined enemies, to the vibrant backgrounds. It's always fun to see how you can interact with each level, and discover its secrets.

I love this game. The visuals, music, and platforming challenge all mesh to create a whimsical sequel to the Donkey Kong Country Returns that surpasses its predecessor in every way. If you like colorful and challenging platforming, especially when playing with a friend, this is a must buy.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is simply an amazing game. All the levels are unique, the music is awesome, and the attention to detail is amazing. If you played it on Wii U, there really isn't much new to see here, but if you have never played this game before, it is a must have.

Been playing this series since the SNES days of Donkey Kong Country and this installment of the series keeps the streak of great games going strong. These platformers are a lot of fun and Tropical Freeze is one of the few games you get to play co-op with a second player which I value a lot. If you bought the original on the Wii U you may want to wait for a good sale. But if you're like most people (there are now more Switch owners than Wii U owners already) you probably missed this game the first time around and should give it a go. There is new content here including a playable Funky Kong character which is a first! Highly recommended.

Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas, but have my own copy. Love playing this. Haven’t gotten too far (kept switching between games), but when I did, it was easy to play, and loved the vibe.

This game is a great addition to my collection. I like how easy it is to play.

Insanely fast delivery and the game arrived in perfect shape. Challenging to master the controls but a very fun game once you get into it. The soundtrack will be nostalgic for anyone who cut their teeth on DKC 1-3
