The game is more challenging than the original 3 Donkey Kong games. It plays pretty similar to the super Nintendo version. Donkey Kong Country was one of my first super Nintendo games. Third one brings back memories and how frustrating it is to keep dying. A couple of levels, I've had to shut the game off and come back to it. It is blast though.

The game has very nice graphics I must admit very challenging compare to the original donkey kong my wife and I have spent numerous hours sometimes stuck on one level but definitely a ton of fun. If you want to play easier use the funky kong mode wich we discovered Weeks later after we had almost beat the game

Now I'm an 80s baby so donkey Kong has always been one of my favorites. Let me tell you, some of these levels are HARD! LOL...but they are FUN! once you get the hang of the different effects the characters have it becomes easier. This game definitely keeps you on your toes!

If you didn't purchase or play this game for the Nintendo Wii-U, then this is a definite "recommend" for platforming fans and of of course Donkey Kong fans. They added a super easy mode featuring a character called Funky Kong for the little ones or if you just want to fly by the game and catch the story.

This game is a lot of fun. It has an easy mode called "Funky Mode." I use Funky Mode and it is still challenging. Every level gets harder and harder. The bosses are not easy to beat. It does take several runs through the levels to get through. It is fun for both adults and children. If you like the classic Super Mario Bros. style, you will like this game. I recommend it.

Great Donkey Kong game. Doesn't get as much attention as the Mario games, and it is more straight forward as a platformer, but still lots of fun. If you remember the old Rare Donkey Kong Country games from the SNES and liked them. This is for you.

This game was purchased as a gift for a young gamer. Taking the wonderful original release from the Wii U and porting it up to date for the Nintendo Switch was a great idea. With a wider install base, more gamers will get the chance to enjoy this modern update on a gaming classic. Fans of the original, this is a no-brainer. Pick this up!

This is a fantastic video game for the Nintendo Switch. There is a new easier mode with funky Kong that helps you breeze through levels. All levels are challenging and have multiple pieces of treasure to collect. You can collect bananas and coins to extend your lifespan. You can collect letters and puzzle pieces to unlock secrets through out the game. There are so many hidden challenges and this game has a very high replay ability. The backgrounds are beautiful and the missions can combine you and other characters or players. Since this console is portable this is the perfect game to take on the go and bulldoze through time if you are waiting on something whilst having fun.

It's pretty much the same as the Wii U version but with an extra character to play as. I have not tried it, but it looks as if it makes the game easier. Given this game is rather challenging, this is not a bad thing. Plus it's DK on the go or at home, what's not to like? Totally worth it even if you already have the Wii U version like I do.

This is the WiiU port of DK Tropical Freeze. THe only new thing in this game is being able to play with Funky Kong who is kinda like an easy mode. I got this game so I can have it on the go with the Switch. The music TOP NOTCH!!! Game play is fun and challenging. If your a fan of platform games, this game is a must buy!

This version of Donkey Kong follows the model of the original SNES Donkey Kong game from the 90's, Donkey Kong Country. The game plays like the original with modern graphics and added challenging features. The 2 player feature a bonus as well. The game runs smooth on the Nintendo Switch and is looks great.

This game is an incredible example of platform gaming. The levels are well designed and look beautiful on the game pad screen or television. This game is challenging but the new Funky mode make it accessible for even the most novice gaming person. This is a game not to be missed if you like fun adventure and families of cartoon apes.

AAA title game, best one from other donkey kong games, music and characters are with stunning 1080p graphics and is easy in the beginning of the game but later things are very challenging after half way if younwant 100% of all challenges and of course fun game as always thats a yes for your collection of classic of Nintendo games.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a beautiful game. It hasn’t top notch level design, animations, and graphics. The soundtrack is splendid and the gameplay is in a league of its own for the genre. Add to the fact that two people can enjoy it together at the same time and it really becomes a must have in my book.

Game me a lot of nostalgia from the old Donkey Kong Country 64. Very fun.

This is tough game. I'm still in the early part game but the difficulty is already proving to be a tough challenge. Some of the levels require timing precision which gobbles up continues if you're as slow as me. BUT the game is fun. Good luck.
