Don't stand still!

It is absolutely frantic combat and the latter parts of the game on ultra violence get pretty intense, but it's rewarding when you get through those battles. This game is amazing.

Chaotic Fun for the Ages

Hell," this is the most amount of fun I've ever had with any 1st person shooter title. I'm not much of a fan with shooter games, but this one in particular is awesome, and possibly triumphs over most of the Call of Duty franchise. That may sound somewhat overboard, though I do not care. You can never have too much fun wiping out multiple rounds of demons.

The first Doom version that isn’t fun

When I compare it to its competition, like Halo, it feels like they set this game up to be as frustrating as possible. The graphics are great, especially since they updated it for Xbox Series S/X, but Doom 2016 was the last “fun” version and one I enjoyed finishing and playing over and over.

Bought it as a gift, but I'm sure it's great

The one nit is that the installation seemed a bit strange, requiring the Bethesda login and to download multiplayer just to be able to play the single-player campaign. This is a cursory account, being that I was on the phone trying to help my dad get this going. I'll hopefully get around to this one eventually!
