Doom on the switch is not the best version of the game. The graphics are good but after seeing the Xbox one and PS4 versions it pales in comparison. The gameplay is unaffected and still plays like doom which is a good thing. But the best part of this version of the game as for any switch game is that it’s the only portable version of the game. That alone makes it a must have.

When first annoiunced that 2016 Doom would be coming to the Switch, I had my doubts because we haven't seen any true ports that required some serious power under the hood. This version of Doom offers everything found in other versions BUT it's portable. Well worth the money

We need more games like this on the Switch - I beat this game on PS4 but loved it so much that I HAD to have it to play on the road. You vote with your money and I would love it if more great games were ported to the Switch. Now all we need is a trophy system.

Panic button did a pretty good job getting a game like Doom to run on the Switch... the game looks noticeably low-res when docked/on a TV, but when scaled down in handheld, it looks and plays great... 60 FPS would've been preferred, but the locked 30 seems to be stable, with good frame pacing throughout the campaign (I only really noticed some slow down during a massive battle at "Argent Tower") There are some bugs with the audio cutting out occasionally that I wish they would patch.. for now, re-loading a checkpoint is an alternative solution. $60 may seem a bit steep for a port that can be purchased on other consoles for $20 or so; but if you want a truly portable version of Doom, this is it for now... definitely get it if there is a price drop though.

So great to see the words Doom &a Nintendo in the same sentence again. Game plays and looks pretty great for a Switch port. Graphics aren't the greatest, but the fact that you can play Doom on the go is worth it. And the multiplayer is really fun!

Easily my favorite 3rd Party Switch game. PROS: Lengthy single player All DLC Great graphical optimization Great variety in multiplayer CONS: Audio glitches during single player. Graphical stutters during multiplayer. 8.5/10

The Switch port has graphical compromises as it is essentially a tablet, but once you start slaying demons on the go you'll quickly realize that they are well worth it. Doom is worth being played on any console, but only on Switch will you be able to play it portably. Overall this is a fantastic port and while playing it on my Switch I couldn't help but keep looking at the system itself and wondering how it could play this game. Definitely recommend as it is a fantastic game, and also a showpiece for what the diminutive Switch is capable of.

All my friend told me this was an excellent game that I would love, problem is not the game but me. Never played in first person so I have a hard time getting the hang of it. But so far love killing everything that he’s in my way.

Hands down the best FPS game currently on the Switch. It's also arguably one of the best games in the Doom Franchise. Can't wait for Doom Eternal to be released on the Switch.

I played through the campaign twice, almost exclusively in portable mode, and it was a blast. While concessions were made from the PS4 & Xbox One versions, this is an excellent port that you can take anywhere. Well worth it!

Very impressed by how clean and beautiful this game looks on the Switch. It runs at 30 FPS and I’ve noticed no slow down. My heart was racing playing this game, just like the old school Doom from the 90s, highly recommend!

I owned this same title on my xbox one and traded it in after a few days because I was disinterested. Now the same game on a handheld has me picking it up and trying to advance levels all the time. Great game on the switch

I can't believe I waited so long to play DOOM 2016. This is a great port. Multiplayer environments and some menu images and models can look a little muddy, but seeing a game run like this on the Switch is astounding.

Need I say more? This is an amazing game, even though it is a little more blurry and maybe a somewhat toned down version of the consol and PC game, it still manages to capture what DOOM is all about.

Having a portable version of Doom is the selling point to this one for sure! It does the job, although the game obviously runs better on PS4 etc. As a handheld game, super impressive, on the TV it shows it’s compromises, but for most people probably won’t be an issue

Love this game on the Xbox one and love it on the Nintendo Switch! Great port, packed with all the previous content and runs well even at 30 FPS. Feels fast and graphics are up to good standard.

If there was one game I prayed to come to Switch, it was Doom! Love this game! Lower res dosnt bother me and it still plays really well. Have had a last jumping back into this amazing shooter!

All I can say is they did it they put a AAA port of Doom on a portable console and it looks and plays great!

I have not played DOOM on any other system, so I have nothing to compare the performance too. But.... This is a blast to play on the Switch. And the performance docked or handheld is amazing.

Bought this for a road trip thinking it was going to be a great time waster and found out that it is pretty addicting. The fighting can get repetitive but it's challenging until the very end.
