I remember playing this game for the first time in 2017 on the Switch. I'd played Halo and other FPS's, but this one quickly became one of my favorites. I purchased this copy for the Xbox One because I was interested in playing with higher graphics and a smoother experience. It absolutely surpassed my expectations.

the graphics are top notch. the action is never dull. game feels a little worn out towards the end. but overall great purchase

Great game. So much to do with snapmap campaign and multiplayer. Cant wait for the dlc

Don't pay full retail. Anything under $20 is a good buy for this one. Mindless hack and slash, button mashing. Very fun to blow off some quick steam... not going to hold your attention for hours on end.

I've played plenty of the newer versions are of Doom and Wolfenstein. They always been fun, but most seed some of the classic elements that made the originals legendary. Finally I feel like there is a modern take on Doom that justifies having the namesake. The integration of the level secrets along with the movements of a modern platformer makes it feel as fun as the first time I loaded Doom on DOS.

I purchased this game on the sole principal that I have loved Doom since it's inception in the early 90s. What I received, I didn't expect. The fast past action, the non-stop action, the music, the guns, the gore.... reminds me of everything that Doom has always been to me. The difficulty curve is a bit more extreme than the Doom's of yesterday but that's what makes it that much more enjoyable. I only gave it 4stars because the MP leaves something to be desired so I don't play it much.

Very fun and great graphics, campain is very well written. Multiplayer is fun also.

The campaign makes this game worth buying. Wide range of weapons and secrets to discover. The multi player isn't too bad.

First I bought it for the PC, but when I saw it was on sale I had to have it for the Xbox One X. The 4K looks great, the shooting is great, the speed is great. Overall its a fun, fantastic, and frenetic "old school" shooter. No thick convoluted plot, no regenerating health, just fast paced shooting and eradication of the underworlds finest minions.

Story was very fast paced and fun, however tons of secrets. Multiplayer is worth while and as fast paced as campaign.

I loved the “Doom” games back in the day, so it’s return was a welcomed announcement. This updated version is exactly as advertised. Demons from Hell attack an installation on Mars and it’s your job to take them out. Forget the old “find cover” gameplay of recent shooters. If you’re still for too long here, you won’t even make it past the first level. Lock and load! “Doom” is back and here to stay!

Fast paced, bloody, fun, and old school. Not for the call of duty audience.

I only really played the original Doom, not the sequels, so I didn't really know what to expect with this release. Having said that I really enjoyed playing it. It looks great, sounds great, and after getting used to the sensitive controls, was a blast to play. Some areas seem unnecessarily more difficult than other areas, but that just adds to the challenge. Finding all the secrets, and completing the Rune trials, are vital to being able to successfully complete the game.

I bought this because of the discounted price. It has been a great 1st Person Shooter Pick Up!!!

This doom version is a nice throw back to the good old days of FPS, pure blast away, but need some strategy at times. The pc version is better

Single player is a great story. Multiplayer doesnt disappoint

This is not only one of the best games on 2016, DOOM (2016) is one of the best shooters of all time! It was just so refreshing to go back to old school shoot'em up style FPSs. No regenerating health, no reloading, carry as many weapons as your space marine wants! If you're a little stale of Call of Duty and Battlefield games, DOOM is what you've been waiting for.

Online multiplayer is tons of fun and the campaign is awesome as well.

This is a great game! However, on Xbox one X, turn off the HDR or the screen will be too dark. The computer version has the same issue.
