Great graphics, decent story, perfect length of a single player campaign.

Great game. Really brutal story. Very fast paced. Very visceral.

Single player campaign is one of the best I've played in years!!! Heavy metal demon slaying at it's best!!! Multiplayer is a little lacking, and much slower then it was in the Alpha, but with ID taking over the multiplayer development now it's surely to improve. Even with the multiplayer short comings it is totally worth the purchase price for the single player!

Fast paced shooter in the vain of classic shooters. Adrenaline fueled, demon crunching/splitting action.

I'm an old dude who played the original Doom obsessively back in the early 90's on my 486sx PC. This version is very true to the original with the addition of 21st century graphics and game play. My son was blown away that "old dad" knew this game when I suggested strategies on our first day of playing. Now I just need to learn how to work with the xbox controller ;^)

This DOOM brings back a lot of the very first Doom gameplay and lore in a bigger, bloodier, and explosive way. And that's a good thing. Playing the game feels great. It's fast and fluid. Even new mechanics like double jumping and Glory kills fit right in with the new DOOM. If you loved the old doom games or haven't been introduced to the series, you'll love this one.

<Played on XBox One S and Samsung 65" 4k, w wireless controller> I cut my teeth on PC based FPSs way back with the original Wolf 3D, by ID - and when DOOM came out in 1994, it was an amazing game changer. Fast forward to 2016... this Doom re-boot is the best since the original in terms of fun and feeling immersed. And, it even includes some subtle (and not so subtle) nods to the original. Easter Eggs, if you will... (who remembers E1M1WAD?). Unless you knew about the WAD reference to the original maps, that would fly right over your head. Little stuff. Yet, the graphics "feel" as beautiful, as the ground breaking graphics did back in '94. Stunning on a 4K 65". Once I cleared an area, I'd just wander around amazed at the work it must have been for the design team. The lighting, the detail, the weapons, the animations of things like wall mounted medical stations, even death scenes. The renewed monsters are satisfying as well. Love the HKnight (use the chainsaw), and even the Imps are a good kind of "pain in the butt," with faster fireballs. Only complaint (as in some sections of the original)..., still some really dark areas - and no flash light this time. But, not as bad as the last DOOM remake I played on a PC years ago. This was my first non-PC DOOM experience, and though the control isn't as fine on XBox as with a keyboard and mouse, it's good enough. The PC lends itself to weapon change, etc much better IMO (vs right button and scrolling a wheel with XB controller). Overall though, a great re-boot that puts you (convincingly!) on Mars, with a creepy sound experience (use headphones). Pick it up used, or even new - definitely worth the price of admission!

Very fun and a nice amount of content. Does get predictable and a little boring because of it at times but definitely worth it in the long run

Bought this game for my son as Christmas gift after begging me for it for a few months. So I guess it’s awesome according to him.

Action packed. Campaign is better in multi player. FUN overall game.

I was very happy with this Doom. Doom 3 was different but still good, but this sequel was excellent. Definitely recommend it for any FPS fan.

I truly now know I am old after playing this game. you need the reflexes of 13 year old ninja cat. holy BFG things come fast...

A good chunk of my young adult life was spent infront of 'Doom 2' on PC. And although I could appreciate the style and survival elements of 'Doom 3', it wasn't quite what I was looking for in a 'Doom' title. THIS is just that...frenetic gameplay, enemies galore, and layered levels that'll keep you searching for every hidden element. A solid FPS in my book.

DOOM all time favorite, Great single player as well multi-player.

Way better than what I expected. Fun from the beginning until the end with awesome features. New games will be looking to Doom for ideas.
