Fun, fast paced arena shooter with an enjoyable story

This version of Doom is visually stunning. I have a very soft spot for the classic PC game and it's spawn, and this update for the XBox does it justice. I don't think any fan of Doom or first-person shooters in general would be disappointed with this. My only criticism is that it is definitely a major challenge compared to the original! Not a bad thing, but that's the only "negative" I can think of.

If you want a good story, then this is not the game for you. If you just want to run and gun nonstop, then you met your match. There are points in this game where there is so much going on the screen, enemies coming from everywhere. But no worries, you have enough weapons and ammo to handle that. Highly recommend this game. Fun factor is high, could've used a better story though.

Got it for my boyfriend as a present and he got super happy! He completed the game and keeps going back to play it. Not a gamer myself but judging by how hooked he was and how much gameplay he's gotten out of it, I give this an A+.

19YO son said this is a classic game that he enjoys, but adds that it is a must-have if you are an Xbox One owner. He likes the graphics and the controls. Probably only drawback is he said it didn't take him long to complete the entire campaign--I'd be willing to wager it is because of his prior experience playing DOOM.

Good single player. Fun multiplayer. Overall worth a purchase. Good old school fun.

Classic doom run and gun gameplay. This isn't destiny, where you his behind a wall and wait for your health to regen. The only way to get more health is to keep on pushing. It rewards players who go for the action instead of wimping out. This game isn't for everyone, but for those who can handle it, it's great.

Not what I expected. Doom was a great game when it came out on the PC. The console version dosses not do the game Justus. Maybe it will get better so far I've played about 1/3 of the game. It's messing some of the cool things like the original doom. No image of the player getting beat up and looking worse as the health goes down. No sound as you load the shotgun and weapons are different. No grunting as you try to find secretes. Just not the same cool doom I used to know.

The Game is great and fast paced. The soundtrack with its rock oriented sound and destroying all enemies before you with your weapons and my favorite glory kills. the game is intense which left me almost tired after beating a level its great game if you are looking for a game with intense gamplay.

This game is just as I expected. It's violent, bloody, and fun as heck to play. I played the original Doom back in the day, and this updated version still carries the soul of the original. It just looks amazing and is a great addition to my collection. Only knocked off 1 star because the MultiPlayer option is not that great, but the campaign mode is gonna keep me busy for a while!

Doom is back looking better than ever. The game play is easy to pick up and it's loaded with surprises. The replay value continues as you increase difficulty settings. Finding everything in the game and problem solving is as much fun as the fast pace, adrenaline packed action. Don't give up, Git Gud!

If your looking for old school doom blasted up to ten then look no further. The graphics are top of its game combining breath taking visuals while scaring the ghost out of you. The intro throws you head first into the action and doesn't stop to the end. A thrilling vacation into the underworld. My case didn't have a real game case so I time a star away but great game.

This game, man oh man this game brings back memories of the good days, mixing both action, horror, and fast paced movement all into one. Can't get enough of it, the multiplayer is okay but cmon who buys doom for the multiplayer? It's all about the campaign! And it doesn't disappoint at allllllll!

This is a first-person shooter game where you can go around trying to destroy the enemy. I bought it for my son as a gift. He enjoys games like this. Small children would probably not like the violent aspects of the game.
