I actually have this game on the PS4 and I wanted this game on the go, and it is just amazing. Graphics are virtually the same all do the style they used to make this game. Still very flashy and great. Pick it up!

The best 2D fighter on the Switch

An incredible fighter, likely the greatest licensed anime game ever. The story mode in long and expansive, as well as fully voiced, the roster of 24 is well balanced and similar enough to each that skill with one translates to the others, but there are enough differences for hardcore fight fans to have plenty of intricacies to master. Very casual friendly, but holds plenty of competitive worth. The branching arcade mode that changes based on your performance is also quite genius. What makes this the definitive version though is 6-player local multiplayer and the ability to lab combos on the go. Until Smash drops, this is it, fam. And it'll still be relevant when Smash is out because it's just that great. A must own.

The best side scrolling DBZ fighting game by a mile. Is a lot of fun and has optional simple commands for the big attacks, so you don't have to worry about input combos

I love the portability of the switch and I honestly can't tell a difference between this and the Ps4 version with the naked eye. Graphics are great and runs smoothly.

This was a gift for my son. We were digging around because he was sort of retro into PowerballZ and there was a card game that looked totally boring, unless you're into card games and he is not. Then we found this, which was the only one. Very much Street Fighter, Capcom, Injustice type looking game. In other words great. Action and playability is fun. The cut scenes for the single player game are too long for me but, I suppose that's the appeal of the show/game. If you just want to throw down PowerballZ style and have great eye candy doing it, this should do the trick.

It’s a great game that has straightforward controls that make it so satisfying to completely destroy your opponent. The training mode is fantastic with lots of customizable features. It does take a bit of a learning curve to get competitive online but honestly I still have fun even if I lose!

Plays like my PS4 copy. This is perfect for the on the go playing. Admittedly it’s different to play with the joy cons. Definitely some getting used to.

One of the best things about this game is how easy it is to pick up and play. The auto combos are effective enough that i can play with my friends and nobody is totally out of the game because they dont know the controls. Also the fact that all super moves are performed the same way for each character makes it easy to pick up new guys without much training before hand. My only complaint is there is not a lot of single player content so you are going to have to be brave and jump online or have a friend over to battle.

DBZ fighting games has not had a great history, but all that changes with DragonBall FighterZ. Created by the team that brought you Guilty Gear, the fighting game pedigree shines once you boot it up. Simple controls that allow fighting game new comers perform combos and moves straight from the anime, but systems and mechanics deep enough for hardcore fighting game fans. I was sacred they would have to sacrifice a lot to bring a port to the switch, but the port remains faithful to the big boy consoles.

As far as I can tell, Dragonball FighterZ plays exactly the same as it does on PS4 and XB. The action is beautiful and silky smooth. The full game is here, there were no sacrifices made to the game modes, graphics, or smooth framerate and gameplay. Get this version over the other two for the simple fact that it's identical AND you can play it where ever you want. I played it in handheld mode at my in-law's house the past couple weekends and it looks and plays great in handheld mode.

I’m amazed that this game was brought to the Nintendo Switch. Sure, the graphics aren’t on par with the other consoles but they are impressive none the less. Having this game in portable format definitely makes up any shortcomings graphically. This game is just fun. It has depth as a fighter so learning characters’ movesets/combos/counters is a must. This is a great game and worth owning. With that being said, I’d recommend picking this title up when on sale due to its age.

I have played many DBZ fighting games (and a few RPGs) and after playing this one I can say it is the best one. The game play is similar to the Marvel vs Capcom games, which ends up working perfectly. No more flying around in 3D just spamming energy attacks. Instead it is a true fighting game, but still retains all the DBZ fan service AND a great original story mode. Lastly, the graphics are gorgeous; it looks as close to the anime as possible.

The Switch was in need of a good fighting game, and DBZ delivered. Easy to get into, tough to master.
