Customers frequently mention the enjoyable gameplay, story, and abundant content as major highlights of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The game's portability is also a frequently cited advantage. However, some players note a learning curve with the controls and find the fighting system could be improved. A few users also reported minor performance issues.

With the MMO type hub, the interaction between other players Online is so fun and sometimes can be funny. The Story is pretty much the same as the first but with a twist this time. I would recommend FighterZ more as it really is a true Dragon Ball Fighting game but if you just want a casual game. Then this is it.

Very similar to the previous Xenoverse game, but with lots more content added in with regards to missions and abilities. Story feels a weaker than the original, really doing lots of retreading and not much else. Combat continues to be great. The game feels really good on the switch, runs great, looks great, and the handheld option really allows for easier farming of missions to get rare skills.

Xenoverse 2 is a great game for the DBZ series and features up to 88 playable characters and 28 stages form the franchise. It also includes creating your own character, local multiplayer, and played on the go through the switches controller! The story mode is also great and makes you feel like you are playing through the actual anime! Rated 4 stars for the framerate drops that are experienced specifically when playing on the go but overall an amazing game for the price and features the game has to offer.

Been a big Dragon Ball fan for many years but always found the games lacking. After reading some reviews I gave this one a try and I've been pretty impressed so far. You can get by in the fights by mashing buttons but to excel there are some key combos and techniques to learn. The story has been fun and it is cool to see my character get stronger, learn new movies, and participate in some of the key battles in the DBZ series.
My biggest issue so far is that I was reading reviews and many reviewers said it also included the quests from Xenoverse 1 with the game. That is only true if you got the game and downloaded the DLC shortly after it was released. Those quests can no longer be downloaded for free and you have to buy the $30 Season Pass to get them. Kind of disappointed to learn that after I already bought the game as I never played the first game.

am glad Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is on the Nintendo Switch. I always wanted to play this game on the PS4, but never got around to getting it so having the ability to play both Xenoverse titles in one game was a welcome bonus. The 900P with 30FPS never bothered me while playing in docked mode as most parallel quests were played on 2-3 hour trips from the house and the battery never dropped below 50%. I really enjoy having true console games on a portable device, but Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 seems like a great fit on the Nintendo Switch. I really wish more games would have cross-play, but it will happen eventually somewhere down the line. Frame rates never bother me until they are jarringly bad or drop below their target by 10 or more. Hopefully Dragon Ball FighterZ also makes it way to the Switch because I would rather have it there than anywhere else...

The game plays great on switch. It is perfect that you can take it in the go, or use split joy cons to play with friends. The game looks good and runs seemlessly. It is perfect for the switch and all the support for the game is nice with it being a year old game.

This game runs smoothly on the Nintendo Switch and controls are easy to learn/get hang of. The game is an open world , semi character building/customization that runs at 30fps. You do not notice the slowness and the graphics look great still !

So I played Xenoverse 2 on Xbox a few times and I enjoyed it, and since I travel for work often I immediately liked the idea of a competent portable version.
Right off the bat - when docked it is easy to see that visually/performance wise this is inferior to the other versions. This however is more than made up for by the strength of the Switch in its portability, and even though it's not as visually appealing as the other versions it still looks real nice.
Gameplay is the same, haven't tried motion controls and probably never will.
I enjoy it and recommend it if you either haven't played the original or just want it to go.

This was quite a surprise for me to see on the switch. I enjoyed the game on PS4 and thought it would be great to have on the switch as a portable play, but it just didn't look as good. Gameplay is still great, but little tedious being that once you start a new character you are doing everything all over gain as opposed to PS4 where everything is unlocked after one play through. Overall still a great game for any Dragon Ball fan that needs something until Dragon Ball Fighter Z comes out!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for Nintendo Switch is overall a great game to play coming from a long time dragon ball fan like myself. Story mode is awesome with bigger map then X1. The game play is very much like X1. Player can customize the character and unlock more features as the game goes on. Graphic is awesome. The best part is that players can now play this game wherever they go just taking the Switch with them. I'd highly recommend this game to everyone, especially if you're a DB fan.

I waited for Xenoverse 2 on the Switch for the portability: and it was worth it. The graphics on the hub world are subpar and unoptimized, but the meat of the game -- the actual battles -- are frame and graphics perfect. If button mashing, combo-heavy 3D fighting games is your jam, and you want portability, grab this one. If you want a graphics-perfect games, go to another system. But the important part is the same on console and on Switch, and I highly recommend this version.

For those who have played the first entry, it feels very similar. There are a few new characters and the story has changed slightly to accommodate for the events of the first game. The biggest appeal here is being able to do a mission or two while on the go. My main complaint with the game is that the framerate is terrible when in the hub world, which is pretty often. Would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys Dragonball.

Fixes no problems from the other console versions and the dlc is not included despite the PS4 having a "definitive edition." Frame-rate is inconsistent and half that of the ps4 version, meaning moves require strict timing.
Other than that, the game is as good (and unbalanced) as it always was. This time you can take it on the go.

Nice looking not bad goood game but I prefer ps4 just because it’s about the same nothing new added. Only reason to buy this on switch cause it’s portable played on the go. Only reason I would recommend if you want to played on the go but if your not it’s a pass. Great fighting game in dragon ball series though

I had the game for the xbox one and really never got around to playing it. I got it for the switch and that completely changed. This game is perfect on the switch. It allows me to play it on my lunch breaks at work. It is a fun game for any fan of the anime. Lots and lots to do.

I played the first Xenoverse on steam and decided that i would pick up the sequel for the Switch. This will hold me over until Dragon Ball Fighters.
Also, pick it up early so you can get some DLC through the Nintendo EShop, its like $20 worth for free. Not sure when this offer expires.

This game is very grindy but very fun. I got hook more than I thought I would. I really enjoyed this game although it is really inconsistent with its frame rate, some times it seems to be running at 60 FPS and other times around 30 and hub world below 30.

Dragonball Xenoverse 2 is a fun action RPG that allows you to explore the Dragonball universe with your own custom character. The mechanics and quests are fun, and all of the content from the console version can be found here in a portable factor. Highly recommended.

The game is very fun albeit difficult at first.
The quality when undocked does get reduced a little bit, but not too bad... when docked though, the game looks just fine.
I would definitely recommend it if you're a fan of Dragon Ball and like fighting games.
