Customers are enthusiastic about the enjoyable fighting gameplay and the immersive story, which faithfully recreates the Dragon Ball Z narrative. Many appreciate the open world elements and the overall fun factor, although some find the side quests repetitive. The game's action and voice acting also receive positive feedback. However, a few players mention challenges with the controls.

Really enjoying this games story me and my 6 year old son are laughing alot. I love seeing my nostalgia with my son it makes me proud to see him laugh at Kakarot's silliness. The gameplay is smooth and looks good we've been re watching Dragon Ball Super Tournament Of Power he loves the fights this is perfect.

This game is a blast. I wish it had controls similar to the xenoverse games. The more i played this game the worse i got at xenoverse. Its nice to unlock stories, however the sidequests do start to seem alittle predictible and Animal Crossing-ish. If your wanting customization id stick with xenoverse, but if your wanting to be able to try a new play style and story style this is worth picking up.

Alright a lot of people have been saying this game is either a hit or miss and I've got to say I'm leaning more towards the hit side. The pros are great visuals, amazing retelling of the story, awesome voice acting and easy to use combat system. The cons are enemies seem to be too consistent or similar, the side quests are a drag, and the skipped out on the super trunks vs perfect cell fight. Overall I think the rpg aspect of the game could be even better with some minor tweaks, but for those who are die hard DragonBall fans I definitely recommend it. I am just entering the cell games and I'm still loving it! Overall I'd give it an 8/10 and who knows what the possibilities for expansions into the battle of the gods, resurrection of F and maybe even GT

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is an open world RPG that covers the entire series story over its very long runtime. Admittedly the gameplay can be repetitive but there’s still fun to be had exploring and following the narrative, leveling up characters, definitely a game made for those who are already fans.

I have been waiting to play this game since I was a kid. I grew up in a divorced household. So I only got to watch DBZ at my Mom’s. It was always poor timing when I went to see my Dad because it was always when something super important was about to happen in the show: Goku vs. Frieza. Since then I have always wanted a DBZ game that told the entire story. I am so happy with this game it connected all the dots that had been blank as a kid from the show. What a great game! Overall this game gets a 9/10 !

I absolutely love this game. Any DBZ fan will love this. Its an RPG with an open world you can explore. There is so much to look at and so much to do that I forget about the actually storyline. You can fly around, shoot Ki blast, & fight against random bot enemies. The storyline in DBZ: Kakarot sheds more light and gives background on certain characters and relationships such as the beginning of the game with Gohan and Goku spending quality time together. Its definitely a great game. Definitely better than Xenoverse 2 if you still have it. I did and I'm glad I made the switch.

First DBZ RPG that has depth with good graphics. It is a fighting game so the mechanics would definitely feel familiar and old (if you played the tenkaichi games). However, the main attraction is the open world mechanic. I find it satisfying to just fly around cities as Goku. I wish they could make you interact with environmental objects where you could just kamekameha a building LOL

I was skeptical to play another DBZ story game. However I really enjoy this one. Its charming and amazing to have all the extra story bits thrown in from the author. Its nice from the start to see elements of the original DB story play back into DBZ. Its a fun game, that scratches the dragon ball game itch.

I love dragon ball, so I was obviously gonna get this game, starting with the opening, it has the original anime one! It's awesome very fun and entertaining I would've just preferred there was more goku's moments you could play (I haven't finished the story yet) but overall I loved this game.

The graphics in this game are fantastic! The story line is pretty great. It goes from the beginning of the whole story. I’m not done with the game yet because I’m taking my time. Normally I can just blast through games quickly. But again. I’m taking my time. This game is worth it! It’s fairly easy.

Honestly, if you're not a big Dragon Ball Z person, this game easily gets a 6/10 score. Side missions are a joke, background and scenery graphics look like they should be from the PS2 era. That being said, the voice acting and scenes from the main story line are fantastic. I got around 40 hours from the main story, so you're getting plenty of content for what you're paying for. That being said, as I said before, the side missions are a waste of time. For starters, 95% of them aren't even voiced. Secondly, they're just fetch quests. Go get me 5 of these items. Go take this to this person. Awful.
So, if you loved DBZ like I did, the Nostalgia makes it worth it. Otherwise, you can probably avoid.
Would I pay full price again for it? Probably not. If you can get your hands on it for half off or so, then that's perfect in my eyes!

I appreciate the effort put into this game. The gameplay is satisfying, but very repetitive. I don't think it's exactly what people wanted when it was first announced, but it's a good first try for a 3D RPG in the DBZ universe. The fights are played in more of a real time final fantasy way instead of an action rpg, legacy of goku/buu's fury way. Graphics are good and the boss battles are really fun.
Each character has many unlockable abilities that give you incentive to keep playing. However, the side quests are all very much the same. Most of them are searching for a specific item, or fishing, which can be frustrating. The loading times are also very annoying on PS4, but improved if played on a ps5 ssd. Hopefully feedback is taken and improved upon for a similar sequel.

If you aren't a fan of fighting games and didn't play FighterZ (even if you aren't I would highly recommend that for anyone) this is a game clearly made for the fans. It still hits those highs that you remember from the anime. If you can get past the typical fetch quests and open world trappings, this is an open world DBZ game for you.

Fantastic game. They redefined the sagas game and made it ten times better. Fantastic gameplay, and I love how they added little bits of story that close gaps that were never explained in the series. Must have for any fan and new comer alike.

This game is a must-have for any die-hard DBZ fan. It is a refreshing new spin on any previous DBZ game. It blends a smooth but simple combat system you would expect from a top notch fighter into a not-too-systems-heavy RPG that really brings the DBZ world to life. I am maybe 10% of the way through the game and true to source storytelling along with the cut scenes bring some serious nostalgia factor to the table. Sure it’s not true open world, and some of the things like cooking or the repetitive side quests are the type of filler that can wear on any player after a while. Bottom line, it’s definitely not a 5 star AAA title, but it IS a 5 star game for anyone who loves the dragonball world. It is the best DBZ video game we’ve had.
