I have been waiting to play this game since I was a kid. I grew up in a divorced household. So I only got to watch DBZ at my Mom’s. It was always poor timing when I went to see my Dad because it was always when something super important was about to happen in the show: Goku vs. Frieza. Since then I have always wanted a DBZ game that told the entire story. I am so happy with this game it connected all the dots that had been blank as a kid from the show. What a great game! Overall this game gets a 9/10 !

This game is a must-have for any die-hard DBZ fan. It is a refreshing new spin on any previous DBZ game. It blends a smooth but simple combat system you would expect from a top notch fighter into a not-too-systems-heavy RPG that really brings the DBZ world to life. I am maybe 10% of the way through the game and true to source storytelling along with the cut scenes bring some serious nostalgia factor to the table. Sure it’s not true open world, and some of the things like cooking or the repetitive side quests are the type of filler that can wear on any player after a while. Bottom line, it’s definitely not a 5 star AAA title, but it IS a 5 star game for anyone who loves the dragonball world. It is the best DBZ video game we’ve had.

Very fun game and feels like a old school dragon ball game while still maintaining a current generation feel to it. If you like dragon ball games this is one for you

Relive the DBZ story in RPG form

If you were a fan of the Game Boy Advance "Legacy of Goku" games, then you may enjoy this game. However, much like the GBA titles, the blend of RPG and brawler combat may not sit well with certain fans of the famous anime series. While combat is fast and manages to feel just as intense as many of the fights from the franchise, the AI can sometimes be a little clueless, or downright ruthless as they pummel players into the dirt. The RPG side of things also means that players must grind for experience, which is strangely inconsistent with what it offers early on. With that said, the Dragon World is beautifully recreated, and the character models look as though they've leapt from the television screen into the 3D world. If you're itching for a chance to enjoy the entire DBZ storyline, then this may be the game for you.

Alright a lot of people have been saying this game is either a hit or miss and I've got to say I'm leaning more towards the hit side. The pros are great visuals, amazing retelling of the story, awesome voice acting and easy to use combat system. The cons are enemies seem to be too consistent or similar, the side quests are a drag, and the skipped out on the super trunks vs perfect cell fight. Overall I think the rpg aspect of the game could be even better with some minor tweaks, but for those who are die hard DragonBall fans I definitely recommend it. I am just entering the cell games and I'm still loving it! Overall I'd give it an 8/10 and who knows what the possibilities for expansions into the battle of the gods, resurrection of F and maybe even GT

This is a fun game, if you’re a DBZ fan you’ll LOVE the detail and fan service! It takes a minute to get into the story mode though as it moves somewhat slow. Fighting may be repetitive, but it’s fun. Overall, I liked it.

The game play is very similar to the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games but with a deeper emphasis on the RPG side. In this you go through the main DBZ arcs and play as different characters and build teams and level them up. This game has side quest which will explain certain things like why there are beast people and where Launch has been. The games cut scenes are either really well done or lazy there is no middle ground. If you are looking for fun recap in the series pick this up just keep in mind it will skip things here and there.

As a lifelong DBZ fan, this game is a blast. You will play as various Z warriors across all DBZ story arcs with a few original side stories and dragonball side missions thrown in. I hope that movie and maybe even DB Super arcs will become DLCs in the future. The combat is fun and refreshing with enough variety thrown in as to not become boring. My only complaints are that the "open world" can feel shallow at times, more like a collection of minigames, and that the EXP system is almost meaningless as story missions award way, way, way more XP than random battles, so there is almost no opportunity to "grind" in the game. These are minor flaws though in a great game.

The only thing I do not like about this game is the English Voice actors. Other than that this is a great RPG in the Dragon Ball Z Universe. It plays allot like Xenovers just FYI.
