I drag my feet a bit getting this game because I was worried it wouldn’t be as good as previous dragon quest games. The story was fantastic and I have played it twice since I beat it the first time.

I played through on playstation. Classic gameplay. I still am very fond of old school turn based combat. Enjoyed switch Playthrough more. Being able to level and quest on go and then dock for bigger battles is the perfect rpg design.

I have to admit, I have been sleeping on this game for a very long time. After playing it, it has easily become one of my top video games of all time. I’m glad I finally decided to give this game a chance.

Dragon Quest XI S on the Nintendo Switch is the best version of the game as it has extra content included with it. Experience with prior Dragon Quest titles is not necessary to enjoy this version. It's a long game so take your time and have fun!

This was my first Dragon Quest purchase and I can't put it down. I'm enjoying that storyline so far. The animation is smooth and I love the turn-base style of the game. There is so much to do and I'm really looking forward to completing the game.

If you are into JRPG games this is a great one. The Switch version has orchestrated music in addition to other new features that make the Switch version the definitive edition, even if the graphics are a slight downgrade from the PS4 version

Having only just started this game, it seems a great mix of story and strategy. Learning curve for a newcomer seemed steep but isn’t bad at all. The pace of the game allows you to learn as you go. Very engrossing.

If you’re into the dragon quest this is the game for you. It’s the best version of the game because it combines the 2d of the 3ds and graphics of the ps4 into one game. Plus they added in some extra features not found in the other versions.

Been playing Dragon Quest for many years and this new addition to the series is one of the best of them all. I played it originally on PC and glad to play it again on the Switch with the additional content and quality of life improvements.

It's a pretty dang good JRPG. Dragon Quest games are like JRPGs refined down to all their best bits. It's very trope-y and not surprising in a storytelling or mechanical sense, but it's one of the most well-made JRPGs of recent years.

So glad to see SE working with Nintendo again. They didn’t hold anything back for this game. I’m new to the dragon Quest series, but I’ve been playing this exclusively since I got it. Guess I had to give Smash a rest sometime...

Like any JRPG ever? Then this is for you. Dragon Quest has never really changed anything up and that's what's great about it. Good story, great graphics. I'm not a fan of the soundtrack but it's classic. Would recommend.

This game has everything you look for in a Dragonquest game. I already had the PS4 version. This version is worth picking up as it is a new experience. Lots of new content and they tell the story a little differently.

This is an amazing remastering with quality of life improvements and new options you can enable for challenging gameplay. You will drop so many hours into this, even the demo itself was 15h! Best RPG I've played recently!

This game is amazing. If you love old school turn based RPGs this is the game for you. DragonQuest started it all and this is a great entry in the series. And to be able to take it on the go with you? Perfect!

A fan of JRPG? This game is right for you! Evolved from the original DQ XI, this game added additional features like character voice, combat fast forward, etc. Letting you enjoy the story in a more immersive way!

The newest in a long series has much more polish and is more playable for casual fans. However the environments feel more restricted & less expansive. This is bad news for a game series that relies on instilling a sense of exploration & adventure on a broad globe-trotting scope. Thankfully their is more vertical movement and more interactivity in the environments. As with all DQ games it is a slow starter but there is reward for patience and perseverance.
