Great bang for buck and love the old school jrpg inclusions.

Oh man, this game was amazing! Not only did I spend over 100 of hours on the main game, but also the post game too. The story was so interesting and the sceneries were beautiful. BUT…the game did freeze up a few times when traveling the world and I got soft locked once. But other than that, the game played well nonetheless.

I believe the Switch version has more content but a demo of this is in the Xbox Game Pass library. If you love Pokemon, this is similar if you're patient with turn-based games.

One of the best Dragon Quest games. Haven't played them all yet, but playing this one makes me want to go back and play through the ones I missed.

The quality of life improvements of this version make it well worth. Even as a newbie to the Dragon Age series, the game was simple enough to understand and digest in small bursts. Really enjoyed the "what happened so far" because you can dive right into it where you left off without too much hassle. Never felt like I needed to grind, really didn't struggle much at all. Colorful, soundtrack is good even if it is the same few songs, and the story is great; I appreciate any story moments in games (RPGs especially) that I can't predict.

Fun, classic-style JRPG. The combat and story are pretty enjoyable, though some of the voice acting and music is not great. Haven’t finished, but played 40 hours or so.

Old school game meets new school. The Xbox game if the year is this one and a great deal on bestbuy. Get the definitive edition so you don't miss out on the great graphics that only Xbox serious x can provide you. Classic game soundtrack makes this a cant miss game. Non stop entertainment!

Best game I've ever played in my life. Story is an absolute masterpiece, and the gameplay is amazing, fun, and rewarding. If you're into JRPGS or Zelda-type atmospheres at all, you have to give this game a try, you will fall in love with it.

One of the best RPG's of all time on the Xbox. Great characters, story with 4k graphics. Definitely worth it for all the content included in the definitive edition. Plays great on Xbox Series X.

This would be the third time I have purchased this title. One of the best R.P.G. series in my honest opinion. Presentation is top notch, story is great. Gameplay is engaging.

Dragon Quest XI is easily the best, most epic, fleshed-out, and content-rich Dragon Quest game. The title makes it sound like it’s a game about dragons, but it’s so much more- let’s just say the story has many twists and turns— much more so than your standard JRPG. Thr graphics look fantastic on the Xbox— super clear and colorful. Loading is at a minimum, and everything feels very responsive. I highly recommend this game if for no other reason than it’s a long and epic journey and you’ll get your money’s worth. This is the definitive edition, so it has everything including the full orchestral OST and 2D/3D mode features.

One of the best JRPGs I have played in a long time. Good story, great characters, old fashioned turn based combat with hundreds of hours of gameplay.

I have been playing dragon quest for as long as I can remember and what I love is that they keep the same formula and it’s very enjoyable. The artwork is amazing since it’s made by the creator of the dragon ball anime and the gameplay is just fun. There is a bit of a grind and repetitiveness for the combat, but that’s to be expected of a JRPG like this! Give it a try, it also runs very smooth with high FPS on the new consoles.
