The Device is actually kind of nice. But the app has some problems including not being able to see what your car is doing like it’s supposed to and you can’t adjust it to your local time for the log. Be aware that there is a yearly charge for use. It doesn't tell you that on the box and Best Buy never told us either. It’s not the biggest deal but it would have been nice to know in advance.

The installer at the wheaton maryland store charged me extra twenty five dollars for adding the unlock/ lock feature. This is unfair, this feature is standard with this unit.

I purchased and had installed Compustar's remote start with DRONE security package at CARTOYS. The remote start works great! Unfortunately, that is all that worked great. The DRONE app does not work most of the time. It worked in the CARTOYS parking lot but not 3 miles down the road. The DRONE module is apparently useful if the it is within scope of strong cell phone service, otherwise it is useless. So if your car is stolen and ditched out in the middle of nowhere, good luck. It would not even work at my home. The installer disabled my remote trunk feature to install this product. Even though the COMPUSTAR remote had an option for the remote trunk opening feature, I was told I had to pay extra to have it activated. The security system went off twice with me sitting in my car after it was started and remote in my hand. Customer support from both COMPUSTAR and CARTOYS was non existent. They need to tell people the limitations of the product prior to install. The selling point of the DRONE is to be able to find your car if stolen! I had it removed from my vehicle, paid way too much for a product that might work if I'm in the right location.

We installed Drone in our 2005 Ford Freestyle January 2019. Our experience has been very spotty. Sometimes it works with as many times where it does not work. The app has had failures. The connection to the car has had failures. Sometimes the car only stays running for a couple minutes and then shuts off without giving any indication. We have the premium subscription which has additional features such as expanded status reports and GPS location. These do not work well. The GPS location may give a point in time snapshot but then indicates that snapshot as being real time live location which is in error. Over all we are very disappointed with the shortcomings and outright failures in this product’s performance. I would not buy again.

We bought the remote start and decided to upgrade to the longer range. We are very pleased that we did.

Don't waste your money on this peace of crap +KILLS/DRAINS BATTERYS (Replaced Mine twice) You may say its a old or cheap Battery but spent $500 dollars on a proper Hybrid hi power battery with more then enough power. +EXPENSIVE ONGOING PRESCRIPTION $100-430 per year Supposed to get 12yrs when installing after 1 month was advised I needed to pay for an prescription.. +POOR G.P.S CONECTION AND DISCONNETED If you park your car in carparks/storage its only as good as the singal from which ever cheap phone company they use.... +EXPENSIVE TO INSTALL BY PROFESIONAL!

I bought the drone mobile from Best Buy. The installation was great, no issues at best buy. I then downloaded the app and subscribed it for 5 years. The app worked for 2 or 3 months continuously. Since then it worked few times each for few hours and then disappears for couple of months. I did not use it for over 5 months, but see it refreshed and coming on my text when the engine was on. So frustrating. I absolutely do not recommend it, wastage of money and time trying to fix it. Nobody responds to call or email, just automated response on email reply.

Their service is very unstable, and they even discontinued 3g network service they sold years ago, and they forced customer to buy another module at our cost! If I could go back, I would never pay for dronemobile's product! their work etic is horrible!
