At my work and home workstations I have enjoyed using various mechanical keyboards. I will not hesitate to spend over $100 for a superior mouse or keyboard. The drop keyboard is heavy and sturdy, There is built in dampening which can be modified abut give the keys a good feel and sound different from my Logitech (work standard) or my home gaming-general use keyboards. The feeling and sound is similar to closing the door on a Mercedes. I chose the white cover and was aware it could be swapped but was amazed at the number of options available. The option for selective key replacement are also extensive. I plan on adding some color. I have yet to program the board but the default has been great (I rarely change the standard programming on keyboards). Note that the unit is wired and has a usb c port on the back left. The keyboard is precise in first person shooter games. I will be testing with other games later this week. The coloring looks great with my gaming monitor and on my black desk.

I’m a bit of a keyboard snob and had to snatch this up at $100. It’s absolutely wonderful at that price point. Smooth typing, relatively quite keyboard. Honestly not a huge fan of the keycaps but that’s really just an aesthetic opinion, they are fine. With all of that said this board is also regularly sold for the full msrp of $200 and I’d find it difficult to recommend at that price point when you could get something much nicer with a full aluminum case.

So i have gone through like 3 keyboards in the last year. I game a lot and i mean a lot. Like diablo 4 i have sunk over 194 hours in the new add on in like the last 10 days. I play a lot of FPS games like world of tanks so kind of a third person shooter while driving tanks. The last thing you want to happen is have your keyboard die or give you problems while blasting. the problem i have is i use a few of the keys for a lot of games especially the 1 key for diablo 4 and the arrow keys for world of tanks. So your keyboard is one of the most important things when you get a keyboard and you want one that's not going to have keys going bad in a short amount of time because we all know keyboards are not cheap. So this keyboard i got and so far i have been thoroughly impressed with it. Rite out of the box i was very impressed with the durability of the keyboard. You will feel the weight once you pick it up. Looking down at the keys took me a little getting used to because the letters are on the front of each key not the top. So looking down at the keyboard it looks like there is no letters or numbers on the keys. But after using the keyboard for about 2 days it's a null issue. The rgb is very nice not to bright and not so dim you can't tell they are on. This keyboard has found a new home with me and I'm happy to say i think it will last a lot longer than the other ones i have owned. Very nice keyboard worth every penny.

The Drop (Corsair) CSTM80 RGB TKL mechanical gaming keyboard is a fully customizable, fully built keyboard that works straight out the box. There is no assembly for this particular version of the keyboard, there is an option to buy the base and add every single part that you want, but if you want a customizable keyboard that is ready to use this is a great option. If at any point you decide to change or get bored with any part of this keyboard you can change out every single portion of this keyboard and customize it to your heart's content. My only complaints with this particular keyboard are the lack of elevation and the software compatibility. The elevation is a personal preference and may not affect everyone, but I like having the option to elevate my keyboard and this particular keyboard only has a flat base, while the keys are slightly sloped, it is not enough for me and I wish this had the fold out legs that most keyboards have. The software, however, is something that I think could and should be addressed, with Corsair's acquisition of Drop and their collaboration or involvement in this particular keyboard I wish it was customizable within Corsair's iCue software. This would make it more easily integrate with the other Corsair products that I am using and would allow me to use one piece of software for all of my computer peripherals. If those issues don't bother you then I think this is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a customizable mechanical gaming keyboard, even with those issues I would still highly recommend this product as none of them is a deal breaker in my opinion.
