I know that's one of the weirder things to put as a title to a review, but it definitely has to be pointed out. So the first thing that catches your attention is not only the quality and the click of the keys, but it's where the letters and key functions themselves are placed. They're on the front of the key facing you, not on the top like a traditional keyboard. That by itself already gets my attention. I like when a device or product has a uniqueness about it. It makes for a more interesting experience. This is definitely no different. You can tell from the quality of the keyboard, both the casing, the keys, the layout, the trim, and all of the key accessories. This is definitely a keyboard worth spending the money on. At first I wasn't totally convinced but after taking the abuse I put my keyboard through everyday. I'm a little more than convinced. I use it for personal use and of course the Lady of the House steals it for her use which is work from home. Needless to say, one of your easier to find functions is rubbing the keys and then you can't tell where the T and the y is on your keyboard anymore. Because of that one aesthetic design feature. This is not something I'm worried about in the near future. I really can't find many flaws with this keyboard. Just more reasons to buy a few more to go around the other computers in the house. Definitely worth the money.

At my work and home workstations I have enjoyed using various mechanical keyboards. I will not hesitate to spend over $100 for a superior mouse or keyboard. The drop keyboard is heavy and sturdy, There is built in dampening which can be modified abut give the keys a good feel and sound different from my Logitech (work standard) or my home gaming-general use keyboards. The feeling and sound is similar to closing the door on a Mercedes.
I chose the white cover and was aware it could be swapped but was amazed at the number of options available. The option for selective key replacement are also extensive. I plan on adding some color.
I have yet to program the board but the default has been great (I rarely change the standard programming on keyboards). Note that the unit is wired and has a usb c port on the back left.
The keyboard is precise in first person shooter games. I will be testing with other games later this week. The coloring looks great with my gaming monitor and on my black desk.

This is a great keyboard. For someone who likes to play games often. This is a keyboard for the look. Personally for me the keys felt spread apart compared to other “gaming keyboards” so sometimes pressing two keys at once with one finger can be difficult.

So i have gone through like 3 keyboards in the last year. I game a lot and i mean a lot. Like diablo 4 i have sunk over 194 hours in the new add on in like the last 10 days. I play a lot of FPS games like world of tanks so kind of a third person shooter while driving tanks. The last thing you want to happen is have your keyboard die or give you problems while blasting.
the problem i have is i use a few of the keys for a lot of games especially the 1 key for diablo 4 and the arrow keys for world of tanks. So your keyboard is one of the most important things when you get a keyboard and you want one that's not going to have keys going bad in a short amount of time because we all know keyboards are not cheap. So this keyboard i got and so far i have been thoroughly impressed with it. Rite out of the box i was very impressed with the durability of the keyboard. You will feel the weight once you pick it up. Looking down at the keys took me a little getting used to because the letters are on the front of each key not the top. So looking down at the keyboard it looks like there is no letters or numbers on the keys. But after using the keyboard for about 2 days it's a null issue. The rgb is very nice not to bright and not so dim you can't tell they are on. This keyboard has found a new home with me and I'm happy to say i think it will last a lot longer than the other ones i have owned. Very nice keyboard worth every penny.

The Drop CSTM80 is a TKL wired mechanical keyboard featuring custom lighting, Gateron KS3 Yellow switches, usb-c connection, and a minimalistic design. In the box you'll find the keyboard, usb cable, key cap and switch pullers, and MAC keys. The keyboard is plug and play, although you can download the Drop software if you'd like to customize the keyboard to your liking. The first thing I noticed taking this keyboard out of the box is the weight and build. It is a very hefty keyboard and feels very sturdy. Once I plugged it in and started using it, it was easily one of the best feeling keyboards I have ever used. The Yellow switches feel amazing. They have a nice smooth feel to them, not at all clicky like some other mechanical keyboards, but not mushy either. It's one of the best typing experiences I have ever felt. The keyboard also features a sound dampening design, which they did an amazing job with. Most mechanical keyboards I have used can be very loud, but the Drop CSTM80 does a fabulous job of keeping noise to a minimum. The keys features custom lighting which you can cycle through some built-in patterns using key bindings, or you can customize further using software. The keys feature front facing shine through on the key labels, which was a little awkward to me at first, I'm used to seeing the letters on top. Not that I look at the keys while I'm typing 90% of the time. But those few times I did look down, it was a bit jarring at first. But I eventually got used to it. Overall, the design of the keyboard is very minimalistic, which I normally appreciate. However, there is one big omission. There are no built-in media control keys. Not even a volume knob/key. I can live without pause/play, etc. But not having volume control on the keyboard is a huge miss for me. I use my volume control very regularly, multiple times a day. You can of course use keyboard shortcuts or create custom key bindings, but this is not intuitive and I'd much rather have a dedicated volume control on the keyboard. Personally, for me this is a deal breaker. While I love everything else about this keyboard, I absolutely need a volume control on the keyboard for me to consider it as my daily keyboard. So unfortunately, this will have to go into my drawer as a backup keyboard. However, if volume control isn't as important to you, I would easily recommend this as one of the best mechanical keyboards I have ever used.

The Drop (Corsair) CSTM80 RGB TKL mechanical gaming keyboard is a fully customizable, fully built keyboard that works straight out the box. There is no assembly for this particular version of the keyboard, there is an option to buy the base and add every single part that you want, but if you want a customizable keyboard that is ready to use this is a great option. If at any point you decide to change or get bored with any part of this keyboard you can change out every single portion of this keyboard and customize it to your heart's content.
My only complaints with this particular keyboard are the lack of elevation and the software compatibility. The elevation is a personal preference and may not affect everyone, but I like having the option to elevate my keyboard and this particular keyboard only has a flat base, while the keys are slightly sloped, it is not enough for me and I wish this had the fold out legs that most keyboards have. The software, however, is something that I think could and should be addressed, with Corsair's acquisition of Drop and their collaboration or involvement in this particular keyboard I wish it was customizable within Corsair's iCue software. This would make it more easily integrate with the other Corsair products that I am using and would allow me to use one piece of software for all of my computer peripherals.
If those issues don't bother you then I think this is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a customizable mechanical gaming keyboard, even with those issues I would still highly recommend this product as none of them is a deal breaker in my opinion.
