The Rexing Dual Intelligent Hardwire Kit was easy to install with an existing Rexing Dash Cam. I was using the cigarette lighter port to power the unit. This by far is a much sleeker install and provides 24/7 Parking Monitor with motion detection. I am very pleased with the product. Rexing has been a great maker of Dash Cams and their customer/technical support is amazing.

I’ve been using the Dual Intelligent Hardwire Kit with my Rexing dash cam for a few weeks, and it’s been excellent. The motion detection is quick and reliable—it starts recording right away, even when the car is parked. The built-in low-voltage protection gives me peace of mind knowing my car battery won’t drain. Installation was straightforward, and the long 13-foot cable made it easy to hide the wiring neatly. A great choice for anyone who wants hassle-free parking mode monitoring.

This is a cool addition to dash cams smart parking sensor (where if the car is bumped the camera will turn on). Now you also get motion detection in case someone is doing something weird around your car it will kick your camera on. It works really well. The only downfall I have is that these clips usually go into the "locked" folder, so eventually you need to format the card to get rid of these locked clips. But with a big card, this gets pushed way out to the future and probably good to do once a year anyway.

Excellent product - simple installation and works right out of the box! Had my dashcam installed right under my headliner, next to my mirror, and I put this under my mirror a bit in the center of the windshield since it needs to hang down. Run some simple cords and 10min later it's done. Works great and you can hear it turn on! Would recommend to anyone.

What an upgrade to the original Intelligent Hardwire Kit. Much easier to install and more robust. I like the fact that it even feels better made and is more compatible with any of the Rexing cameras we have in our vehicles. I was able to do a temporary mount and try it out on 3 different systems and all worked flawlessly. I'll be purchasing two more to install on the other two vehicles.

This is a very nice addition to the dash cam I installed. Works well when in parking lots and at hotels. Very easy to install. Would recommend this to anyone with a Rexing dash cam.

Total game changer for me... I've been wanting to have some type of security motion detector for my car, but didn't want to have to run a wire behind the dash and find the right fuse. Being able to run to the OBD port is just what I needed. So far this seems to be working great!

I've paid to have two dashcams installed, but was able to install this myself. Works as expected - no issues.

All you have to do is plug it into the diagnostic connector under the dash and run the wire to the camera. No need to search out individual power or ground connections. Nice ro have peace of mind the dashcam will come on and record when you’re not around.

I own 2 Rexing dashcams and i couldn't be happier with them. This wiring kit is genius. Super simple to install and the sensor function is outstanding. Highly recommend.

I have a rexing dashcam and wanted to ensure that it would be able to capture an incident when the car is off. This smart intelligence hardwire kit fit the bill perfectly. It connects to your OBD2 and the installation is very simple. I have tested it for over a week now and can say that it does its job well!

I recently installed this accessory to connect with my Rexing Dashcam and I couldn't be more impressed. The setup was super easy and this kit comes with everything needed to start using right away. This is like adding additional peace of mind because you feel more protected even when you car is parked for long periods of time. Great addition, highly recommend it.

I have been enjoying this addition to my Rexing dash cam. I had the cam plugged into the cigarette lighter but that would stay on for over an hour after the truck was locked which I didn't like. I was always wary to wired in a kit to power the cam so I just left good enough alone but with this kit all I had to do was plug this adapter into the OBDii port and rout the cable up to the cam. Could not have been easier and only took about 5 minutes. So far this has been working very well, the camera turns off but when motion is detected the camera turns back on to capture whatever triggered it. I appreciate the feature to have the camera stay off once the battery voltage falled below either 12.4, 12, or 11.8 volts so no worries about a dead battery. I love the Rexing eco system and have always been happy with there products!

I'm a long time repeat Rexing customer. I've used several of their dash cams and all worked well. The quality is very good and customer service is extremely responsive. This particular product was installed by a shop since I'm not comfortable installing this type of hard wired electronics. So far it is working great and up to typical Rexing quality. I'm happy with the purchase !!!!!

So basically this device is an add-on to an existing dash-cam that can turn it into an external security camera when parked. I haven't tested it completely - but the install process is a bit wonky which could easily be avoided had someone re-thought the install process from a non-professional. 1. The instruction manual was great with pictures, but the QR codes and website that's listed in the manual take you to a much older product that requires you to hardwire the power to a fuse box in the engine - which is not this device at all. Note: There is a selector switch on the sensor which I'm assuming is for how much power it can draw from the battery? No clue. There's no information about it. I left it in the middle. 2. To provide this constant power - there is an included ODBC connector and a lengthy cable that powers this unit. I don't recall seeing that on the product description - so if you have something else plugged in there (like one of those insurance dongles that monitors your driving) - this device won't work. 3. While the power connector cable is long enough to attach this sensor hub anywhere - the USB-C cable that goes to the existing dash-cam is not. So if your dash cam is on the driver side and this hub is mounted on the passenger side - you'll have cables drooping above the rear view mirror since there isn't enough slack to tuck it in. 4. There no included car wedge device tool that you can use to pry back the seals and tuck the cables in. On a real positive note though - you now no longer need the cigarette power adapter because the hub feeds power to your dash-cam. The one thing that I didn't consider - but others may - is that if you only have an outward facing dash-cam. It's only going to record the front. This unit would be far better for one of those front-rear and internal dash-cams - to have a better chance at recording something should something bad happen to your car. Of course, unless your dash-cam uploads automatically to the cloud - all someone has to do is take your dashcam/sd card - and it defeats the whole purpose of this unit. That said - this is an interesting unit - and shouldn't deter anyone from getting it - just know what it can/can't do to manage your expectations.

Installation was easy as advertised, and now I have more peace of mind when leaving my car parked in an unfamiliar area. My Rexing dashcam from 2020 still working just as well 5 years later and now I'm glad to get this extra upgrade!

Fantastic kit! It's a huge upgrade over the cigarette lighter plug that these dash cameras come with. It plugs into your OBD II port which makes it very easy to install. It doesn't require any splicing of wires, tapping into anything, etc. You just plug it in. In addition to that, having it be able to come on when it detects motion around your car is huge. This allows the camera to capture events that would otherwise be missed when you aren't in the car. This is a must have!

The kit works as described with proper installation. I found that the sensor performs best when mounted in the center of the windshield, where it has the optimal angle to detect motion. Keeping the windshield clean is also essential, as dirt or debris can interfere with the sensor's accuracy.

The idea is interesting, instead of the camera activating when the car is hit, this will turn the camera on for a few seconds if it detects movement. It also has a voltage level setting to prevent draining the battery. It includes power cables for both charging types of Rexing cameras. The unit gets its power from a ODB2 connector. My only issue is it does not come with a hardwire option. I can see this being included in future Rexing cameras.
