This controller started giving me problems after 3mo. Now fast forward to March, The analog stick is sticking. It’s literally moving constantly during game plays.I’m getting dizzy while the character is going in circles. I need a return or refund asap.

I've never ordered open box before. But, wanted to save a few dollars. Honestly, probably should've just spent the few extra dollars. Lesson learnt though, so at least there's that. My first thought upon receiving the package was "wow, open box is REALLY open box". The box was all torn up and basically falling apart - the only thing that seemed to be holding it together was the best buy sticker on the side (covered the order number and code). Thought it would be fine becauae maybe it was just the box and the product itself was fine. Unfortunately, although the condition is "excellent", the controller had gunk all over it. Controller didn’t last two months before it started drifting (moving the joystick without touching it) and shortly thereafter it no longer held a battery charge. Super disappointed because I’ve heard colored controllers are poorer quality for whatever reason but I thought that was nonsense, this is the second colored controller that’s stopped working within a few months of purchase. I’m extremely careful with them because I know one drop can be the end but I’m super disappointed this controller broke so soon. Thank goodness I got the protection plan!

Literally this is the second PS4 purchase in 7-months and the SEVENTH PS4 purchase in under 18-months. Controller Connectivity Lag and Toggle-Drift has been the constant problem. I’m not sure how many people look forward to spending $64.99 roughly every 3-4 months for product that so poorly made it’s ridiculous. So if Sony’s “Illustrious PS5” Game station and controllers are anything remotely like its predecessor, NO THANKS!

Best Buy sold me a disgusting controller. Funny how they marked this as “open box” when it didn’t even have a box. They shipped me this piece of crap with a ziplock bag. The controller is in an extremely gross state. There’s dirt and filth caked in the sides and directional pad. Heavy signs of use even though Best Buy marked it as “excellent” I’ve never returned anything so fast.

The L3 malfunctioning already after 2 months already

THESE CONTROLLERS ARE FAKE. IT STOPPED CHARGING IN LIKE 10 MONTHS. I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH SONY BC BEST BUY WOULDNT REPLACE OR FIX MY CONTROLLER UNDER A YEAR. IT DOESN'T HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER OR BAR CODE ON THE BACK AT ALL. AND THE MODEL NUMBERS START WITH CUH. THIS ONES IS ONLY NUMBERS. SONY IS RN TELLING ME THEY SOLD ME A KNOCK OFF CONTROLLER

Awful experience. I purchased this controller in "excellent condition". It came with a hole in it. I requested a replacement and the replacement was also broken. When i went to the store to return it, the lady who worked there yelled at me and wouldn't let me return it.

This came in a scratched up box and the controller has a tiny, but noticeable scratch on the left side. Sure its petty, but I bought a pretty controller so it can look pretty and already that is ruined. Even when its not under light, the scratch is visible. Not gonna return it because I'm not going through the waiting process. Thanks for ruining it, warehouse or Best Buy in Middleburg Heights OH!

Brand new present given yesterday Never used, Won't charge 2 days past two weeks return period

I orderd this open box controller in "excellent" conditon. When it arrived i tested it our turns our both of the right triggers R1 and R2 aren't working and also the touch pad wasn't working

Bought this for my dad before Christmas and it was faulty right out of the packaging. The joystick keeps pushing upwards even though you aren’t touching it. I thought he was just being dramatic, but I tested it myself and he’s right. That’s $50 down the drain. Thanks, Best Buy. This isn’t my only experience with poor quality controllers from them. I bought the Star Wars PS4 from them a couple years ago, and the controller wasnt clipped in on the side. Never buying controllers from here again. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

Title pretty much sums it up. No padding/cushioning. Lithium battery in these things and it looks like a truck ran over it. Ship things like this in box. Good thing I didnt buy a laptop. Oh and these are out of stock everywhere now so no exchange. Chat support was useless.

I bought this controller and on the 2nd day that I used it, it already started to have jittering stick drift on the right stick. I went to return it in person and get a new replacement and took it home. Just like the last time I ended up getting the same stick drift on my 2nd day using it, then after testing cables and everything it started having drifting issues on the left stick as well. I will be going back to return it for a refund and will try to get a replacement 1 more time, I know that some people are lucky and get one that doesn't have stick drift for a long time, but so far I think that the Midnight Blue controllers are more prone to get stick drift quicker.

I only use DS4 controllers for my game play so when I say the current construction of these suck I mean they really SUCK. I play using it for 4+ hours per day, sometimes 12+ hours on long streaming sessions. I used the same controller that came with my PS4 Slim purchase back in 2016-2017 and even switched out the joysticks and stick drift was never an issue, I would still be using it today if it wasn't for the triggers not recognizing a full pull, only seeing an 80% pull on the right trigger... I purchased one of these before Christmas in December and already replaced it for stick drift issues, now it's happening again with a second new controller. At least I'm a member of the Best Buy's Total Tech so I get 60 days return window and 24 months of warranty through them but I feel sorry for those that don't. FYI SONY IF YOU'RE LISTENING, FIX YOUR QA DEPARTMENT. SHOULDN'T HAVE ISSUES LIKE THIS WITH LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AT LEAST.

The controllers are defective and they all have left stick drift after a short time. If you google it, you will see it is a common problem with these controllers. I am absolutely sick of buying these things.

This is the second thing I have bought from Best buy that was broken when I got it. They won't let me return either items. It's not best buy. It's worst buy. Cost me $400

I bought a new DualShock 4 Controller; I could use it for 2 days until the battery ran out, then connected to the PS4 overnight to get changed, and then it died. I tried with other changes and cables, and nothing. Since I threw away the original box, Best Buy could not accept the exchange or return the malfunctioning controller. The Sony warranty process has been a nightmare; I had to send it to a repair location in TX, but they don't update the status online. Playstation chat support does not give any information—deplorable customer service. PLEASE, PLEASE, don't throw away the original boxes. Next time, I will get a Best Buy warranty to avoid these issues

The PlayStation 4 controllers are terrible these days. I typically only play on the weekends and I have to replace them like twice a year due to stick drift. A few years ago and back further, I never had an issue. Just the last couple years they have fallen off in durability.

These controllers keep malfunctioning...and with light usage. The analog stick always starts sticking and not responding after so much time goes by. No matter heavy usage or light usage. I have had to replace th÷se controllers 4 times. This time not only does the analog button not stick but the d-pad is being triggered without being touch. For the price of over $70 after tax...they shouldn't be this unreliable. Hopefully the DS5 is free of this issue...is more reliable.
