I put 2 rolls of this on top of dynamat extreme on all the doors and trunk of my car. I have a pretty good stereo system to begin with, but I definitely noticed a difference in the way it sounded after this padding. I used the 1/4 inch material and this was about the right thickness for the areas I was installing in. I’m thinking about pulling off the headliner and carpet to do everything. Great product!

Perfect. Just enough to sound deaden the rear hatch on my suv. Great price ! Now it doesn't rattle like it used to , whewwwww.

I had this installed by the Best Buy tech while he was installing a new stereo and new speakers in all four doors. I went into it with realistic expectations--after all, it's only lining the bottom half of the door (doesn't affect noise coming in through the windows), and there is still road noise coming through the floor and through the firewall. That said, it did make some difference, particularly in regard to the car stereo sound. Music from the speakers seems cleaner without the additional road noise, but I also suspect that it's just a matter of dampening vibrations in the door and keeping things from being on the verge of a rattle. Driving without music is also more pleasant, as the car just has a more solid feel to it, again I suspect due to less vibration coming through.
