It worked well for what it is. I needed one that was more ment for an office but this one works great to shred your daily mail.

I have one of this model already and purchased this one as a spare. I is a very solid unit with little problems. I like the fact that is can shred CD and DVDs.

This shredder does what it's supposed to do, for the most part. Junk mail gets shredded unopened, however if there's a plastic credit card replica in there it should be removed. I find that ten sheets is a bit taxing on it. DVD's are destroyed but not totally shredded and that goes for credit cards also occasionally. The noise it makes can be a deal breaker and it's heavy. Overall it does a good job for the price.

As others have, said, this is a noisy shredder. That said, it does its job as advertised and is a great deal for the price.

This shredder is amazingly awesome. Easy to use and store away from children.

Excellent purchase for our small office. We use it daily and it shreds paper quite well. In the $50 range, I don't think you can beat this unit

for 5 years now, it has worked reliably. A bit noisy but easily tolerated. The amount it could handle comfortable is not as high as advised but still very good.

This was convenient to pick up and order -- and a good price for this cross-cut. Replaced another brand that gave up after several years. Well priced and other reviews are accurate.

This shredder handled like a champ!! Shredded things from 1999 (D%#m I'm getting old)but THIS SHREDDER is not slowing down. Good shredder I recommend to everyone looking for one.

This is used in a home office and is now being used to clear out really old files with too much personal information to just toss in the recycle bin. After reading other reviews which involve shut-downs and overheating, I shred fewer than 5 sheets at a time. No problems with paper jams or overheating. If you want to shred 10 sheets at a time, buy a bigger, professional shredder. It certainly will meet everyday needs.

I ended up buying two of these units. It has a very powerful motor. It has no trouble chewing up credit cards!

It is a great shredder ever I have in my house. Great price!. This product shred well not only paper but also a credit card, cd, and dvd in very small pieces.

Not much to say about this. It either works or it doesnt. It works great it does its job very good, even Shredded my old credit card with no problem!

Does a solid job of shredding multiple pages and at this price point I could not expect more.

I have bought a lot of big name shredder's in my time and expected them to be much better than they were from there spec's and review's just to be disappointed. This Dynex surprised the crap out of me the first time I used it. It's scary fast and powerful i'm really impressed. Just a word of caution with shredding CD's, make sure you don't have your finger in the CD hole when you put it in the shredder. they mention this in the safety warning's for good reason.

Bought this unit for my home to take care of the loads of junk mail I receive on a daily basis and it has performed flawlessly up to this point. Definitely worth the price of admission. I wouldn't recommend this in an office environment, but in the home it is perfect for what I need to shred.

This is a good product. The top handle makes it especially easy to use and empty the bin.

I seem to go through shredders like Grant took Richmond. Finally I have found a durable shredder. I like how it shreds so far.

Very happy with the cross shredder. Confidentiality is very important in a business. This shredder's sheet capacity makes the job of shredding go so much faster. Have yet to try CD's. Can't wait to test the claim!
