    You now you need them. I would give it a 5 if the extension end would have something to make it easier to hold it when you plug your stuff in or when you unplug it.

  • Causes issues with USB 3 card reader

    When I use my USB 3 card reader attached to one of these extension cords, I keep having issues where the card reader keeps getting randomly disconnected when trying to read or write to any card. I have not had issues with my very few other USB 3 devices, but considering the card reader works flawlessly when plugged directly into the computer, but fails on each of the 4 of these cables tells me it's something about the cables.
