For a long time I had wanted a power strip to power up several things in one corner of the house with the entertainment center. I had 9 devices + to power and had been using two of the standard 6 power outlets. The two of these made the clutter even worse. With this one reasonably priced device I have been able to help un-clutter the area, and power everything. With a TV, DVD player, Amp Tuner, Subwoofer, DVR, Cable Modem, wifi box, game console, and game controller charger, plugged conveniently into one power source, it made this an absolutely great product, especially at the great low price. The included two USB ports also now make it easy for anyone at this end of the couch, who needed one to use, had one available. Great product!

This thing is as good as models that cost much more, it's keeping my computer desk powered up & safe. Keeps my cell charging while keeping that safe from power surges that happen more than most are aware, I.e.: lightening during a storm. Better to be safe than sorry, right? This surge protecter does what it's designed to do without coating an arm and a leg, but by no means is it a low budget poor quality devise. It's just a unit that does what you need it too without over kill feature that will drive that price way up. I mean I was only looking for a decent extension cord that will keep my electronics free from electrical distruction that commonly screws up computers, TV'S, monitors, & cell phones, & this little surge protector does the job as goof as one that's $100, for sure. Without a doubt, another top shelf high quality Best Buy product. Yep!!!!!

Dynex 12 outlet surge strip is a good value

It's a good solid, safe surge strip. We like that it has so many outlets and includes the two usb for charging phones or tablets. The cable going into the wall is thick and the body if the strip has weight to it, which indicates how sturdy it is. We use it for a pc, monitors, pa set, and charging various devices. We've had electricity knocked out by storms, and it protected our devices. We used to live in an old crappy house which couldn't handle modern devices or appliances and a crappy electric company which had many power surges, and it protected pc, studio, and tv equipment. It still works great now that we live in a newer home.

I needed a surge protector for my personal computer/gaming setup, and I usually do a quick little research before buying anything anywhere and my first and best option often is Amazon Basics, guess what. Not this time, this surge protector is by far the best for the value. You won’t find another one with 12 outlets And 2 usb dedicated connections for this price. The way that the outlets are arrange is a big plus because you can actually take advantage of all of them even using those extension cords with little transformers at the end like cellphone chargers, Nintendo Switch, etc. I noticed that other surge protectors have X amount of outlets but because of the way that they area spaced you can’t really use them all. I currently have 2 monitors, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Raspberry pi, speakers, and cellphone charging at the same time and never had a problem.

Have a lot of things to plug in?

The layout of the plugs on this surge protector allowed me to plug the following into it simultaneously with leftover plugs: 1 - AV Receiver 2 - Comcast X1 DVR 3 - 4k Blu-Ray player 4 - Desktop computer 5 - Apple TV 4K 6 - Roku Ultra (wall wart) 7 - Rocketfish Switch Dock (wall wart) 8 - Nintendo Wii 9 - 5 port network switch (wall wart) I did add a secondary strip for controller chargers and AV cabinet cooling, but only needing a single surge protector for everything connected to my AVR was definitely a step up from where I was. So if you have a lot of equipment in your AV rack or TV stand that needs power, this will handle it.

This outlet works great and does its job. If you have big power plugs to your devices, then not all the plugs will be utilized. If you are using typical size plugs or the ones that come with a phone charger, then you should be fine to use most the outlets. I have had no issues yet and I even bought a 2nd one. Both have our TV's connected to them, along with soundbar and sub, PS4, Router and Fire TV. With all those I have maybe two more plugs to use due to the size of the others blocking the other outlets. It does its job so far.

Very impressed with how many items can be plugged in to this Surge protector and not overwhelm the surface of it. Nowadays, with transformers being added to the end of power cables, plugs can tend to be larger than the space given on most surge protectors. However, with this model it has the plugs situated in different direction to accommodate different sized plug ends. Great design and look.

This outlet turned out to be very great investment for the Primary Bedroom, especially being that we don't have many outlets in the room of this 1984 townhome. It works well and we can plug everything sitting against that one wall, the television, the laptop charger, the printer, Roku device, PS4 and cell phone wireless earbuds charger. Thanks to the surge protector we haven't had any power overloading issues, as we have had with our previous multi-outlet without the surge protector. The color is dark which is also great. This was a best buy.

I was looking for a power strip to hold all my power cords around my computer and printer, this was the perfect one. Several of the plugs are the big boxy ones so I was looking for one that were not all in a single row. This worked great as I spaced out the boxy plugs and put the regular plugs in between. There were a couple of plugs leftover that I would not have been able to use due to the boxy plugs take up space but since there were 12 plug ins and I only needed 8 it worked out great.

Sister in-law was complaining that they had several cords for phones, iPad, etc. I purchased this as a gift and installed it for her. Now her lamp, heated throw, phone charger, iPad charger are all plugged into the Dynex surge protector strip placed just below her end table and then the main plug is plugged into the wall. Making it easier to leave all of her items plugged in without having to plug and unplug a device to use another device. Love all the plugin slots and the fact they are turned out allowing for larger plugs from charger cords and the built-in USB slots are fantastic.

Amusingly enough, I am writing this review after this particular surge protector is dead as a doornail. Major power surge hit us - strip itself fried, but everything that was plugged into it is still working perfectly. That's exactly the reason you buy these things. Will definitely purchase again.

I bought this for my man cave/gaming room, which has dozens of plugs that I want to be plugged in and protected at all times. This surge protector strip does exactly that! I'm not an electrician, and I DON'T recommend filling this up with devices that are all turned on at once. However, I did so for about an hour for testing purposes, and this handled all of that without issue. Should be good for most people!

Bought this item for my daughter’s dorm room as there were some very specific requirements for extension cords. It has an on off switch and is a surge protector which met those requirements. Additionally, love the flat plug as it can be put into an outlet that’s hidden behind desks or cabinets. The spacing of the outlets on the unit itself is also great as it allows for larger size plugs for things like printers to share the same space as computers, lamps, fridges etc. Add in the USB charging ports and you have a pretty much perfect item for a dorm.

    Reducing WFH office cable clutter

With all of the various devices in use now to help us cope with virtual business meetings and audio challenges, finding a way to minimize cable and charger clutter was growing more urgent. This Power Outlet is a bit more than what I had originally intended to buy, but in the end I have used most of the outlets. One of the key properties on my checklist was a 90° plug which guided my choice of this product. The price and reputation were also factors. I am pleased with this product.

Works great for Block style plugs

Works great for what it’s designed for. Unfortunately, most router plugs are big blocks and have the plug angled horizontal or vertical and usually block the other sockets. This extension cord allows you to use all the slots. Highly recommended if you have a lot of plugs that are the block type and won’t be disappointed. It also has two USB ports which comes in handy.

I was looking for a power surge protector that included multiple USB connections that would not drain my bank account. Let me tell you what-this thing definitely blows the competition out of the water! I have my laptop, my tablet, my desk light, two printers, computer speakers, cellphone and watch charger all plugged in to it! Takes up minimal space with its simplistic design.

I use these to supply power to my home theater systems. In addition to providing some level of surge protection, they provide a convenient place to plug in equipment. I frequently change equipment, so this very important because my wall outlets are located behind some VERY heavy speakers. They have sufficient number of outlets so I can plug everything on the front wall into one unit. I like that the led lights are not so bright that they are distracting in my darkened room.

I had been using a 6 outlet surge protector for a while, and found myself switching things on a daily basis as I would wind up switching things and out of outlets. I did thing unnecessarily for a long time, until it occurred to me to just buy a new one. This Dynex not only has plenty of plunge, but it also 2 USB ports, which are incredibly helpful for charging my random USB devices. My only complaint is I wish the cord was just a little longer, but the extra outlets/USB make up for it.
