    yes, there are still uses for this product. They are sometimes hard to find in stores but Best Buy had what I wanted.

    Got these and the +R’s and they both work fine for file back up. No coasters and time will tell how durable. I only need these for short time purpose and don’t anticipate a problem.

    Writable DVDs aren't tremendously useful anymore, but if you do happen to need one for something like burning a DVD photo slideshow, these will work perfectly.
