The USB ports stop working to charge devices

The USB ports, however... my devices could charge with a cable plugged into them for about a week after I installed it, replacing a standard, grounded, wall outlet, but then, suddenly, the devices (an iPhone, an iPad, and a Galaxy Note 9) just stopped recognizing the charge cables plugged into these ports (while working fine with the same cables plugged into USB fast chargers, so it's not the cables). Not good.
