This case was very easy to install it took a matter of 3 Minutes before the hard drive was useable.

This enclosure performs as expected - providing speedy access to files on your hard drive. My main grouse is the loss of the screwdrivers soon after purchase, one at a time, lessening the utility of the case. This product is also overpriced.

I needed to recover data of my old laptop drive that died. This product really did the trick for me.

my son's sony vaio fried itself with smoke and sparks..... of course his data wasn't saved to an external hard drive. This hard drive enclosure worked and "saved" him countless hours of aggravation. We'll see if his lesson was learned (to always back up files ... and not buy another sony laptop).

Much easier than expected! If you can use a screwdriver, you can make your own external hard drive.

I bought this when my Windows PC crashed and burned. I was able to pull out the hard drive, plug it into this unit, and connect it to the USB port on the Mac. I was then able to transfer all my data files, etc. onto the new computer. The parts fit well, it's simple to use, and it has everything you need to plug it in and go.

Sales person took me to the protector and it was great to have easy instructions to use.

Had an old internal hard drive and was able to make use of it once again. Very easy.

Overall, I have no complaints with this enclosure. The provided USB cord is short, but since I use this enclosure for my laptop and travel with it, I like the short cord. If you're looking for a more permanent type of set-up, I would suggest purchasing a longer USB cord.

Perfect if you need hard drive from your old laptop. Easy to set up. Good price.

Great value to get access to old files on hard drive from my old burned out laptop. I had to use a screw driver to install hardware casing, but it was easy to get access through my usb port. But running through my usb port is slower that the internal hard drive.
