Had to mount 2x4 boards to studs then mount bracket to the 2x4s. The mount is perfectly level on the wall but the TV leans to the right and won’t stay straight when trying to adjust it. This is very unsatisfactory!

It seems very sturdy, except that the mount is missing the "safety bolts." The screws to attach the mount to the back of the TV were also too long or too short with the spacers, so I ended up having to use the shorter bolts and forego the spacers- not sure if that's bad for the TV.

Scary for big TVs

You can see the metal joints sort of separating where it’s straining. When it’s flush on the wall it’s fine, but if you have a larger or heavier tv, this one is pretty scary. For comparison my tv is 65 inches and was professionally mounted.
