Don’t go by the directions when placing this mount

Built a new wall, followed the directions which states to place this mount lower than the middle of the TV but after doing so and trying to hang the TV it was far too low!! Now we have holes to fix in our new wall and have to start all over. Definitely place this mount where the center of where you want your TV. With that being said I don’t know how well it works yet because my TV still isn’t mounted.
