I swear people rating this TV don't have a clue about what gives a TV good picture quality. I think they are first time HDTV owners or first time 55in tv owners. This TV is Mediocre. Picture is just ok and the worst part is probably the contrast ratio. This TV looks whitewashed all the time. Blacks are gray and so is everything else. Don't even get me started on the viewing angle. It's TERRIBLE!

this tv has a great picture better then my sony at half the price gaming is great

I recommend this tv to everyone nice picture,good size and great volume for $799 i make the best dial all my family is very happy with this awesome TV.

I put the TV in my living room, the picture showed the size of 32"-46". Although the picture can be streched out you lose some of the picture off the size. I do not have HD, so that also could be the problem.

This tv sound great but the color off a bit. It could have been the cable provider overall its an execellent tv for the price.

If it wasn't so cheap, it would terrible. The picture is sub-par at best. You have to use the smooth motion setting to eliminate horrible artifacts. Mine has one dead pixel right in the middle. HD channels look terrible. Where this tv shines is its use as a computer monitor. I have no complaints whatsoever when I use it with my computer. It looks great and costs the same as a 24" computer monitor did 5 years or so ago. If you want to throw this tv in your garage for game day or use as a computer monitor, it's great. But for a primary TV in your home, I can't recommend it.

We got this & it has been great, we havent had any issues. The quality is great.

Bought this for a media room. Tv is fantastic. Great picture for the value. Was worried about off brand but its been great.

This is one of the best HDTV's that I have had in a while.

There's nothing particularly great about this TV. It's just fairly large and fairly cheap for it's size.

I LIKE THE PICTURE AS LONG AS ITS 7 FEET AWAY..OTHER WISE UP CLOSE ITS HORRIBLE...

Picture for sports pixelates some. good for video games though.

Picture quality is pretty bad. I'm quite disappointed and thinking about returning if my son doesn't want to buy it from me. My other TV was a Visio and I was upgrading (I thought) from a 46-47 inch to this one. It's big but the picture is not good at all with trailers.

Good t.v. But the picture could be a lot better.....

This TV is extremely cheap in terms of price and quality. The resolution isn't great and the TV started having issues the second week. It has taken weeks just to get the item repaired and from a customer experience standpoint I am extremely disappointed. I purchased the TV based on reviews and I wish I would have come across a review such as mine as I wouldn't have spent more to get a better quality item. Don't be cheap, TVs are a big investment, an the Dynex just hasnt paid off.
