This is about the best bang you will ever get for your buck! If adjusted properly this sits up there with TV'S worth far more than 799.00 . We could not be more satisfied. Hd reception is as good as the best of them! the low price afforded us to extend the service to 4 years and still spend under a thousand dollars! Great Deal Great Picture.

This is our second Dynex TV. First is a 32inch now this 55 inch. For a casual TV watcher I could not have bought a better TV for anywhere close to this Excellant price. With the 2 year, in home extended warranty I feel very happy.

Very happy with my 55" Dynex. My only complaints are the same as some peoples' I've read about - running 1080p can sometimes cause audio lag. Other people have surmised that the video engine isn't strong enough for it. Not major issue though, only happens rarely. The audio levels also act kinda weird sometimes, but that may possibly be my source. Either way, even with a few quirks it's a superb value. I'd def buy another. This actually is my "another", hehe, as I also have a Dynex 46.

This TV works great. Color and Sound is good, set-up was easy. The price for a 55" is UNBEATABLE ($599BB) It is heavy, but we have mounted it to the wall with no issues. It does indeed take a full 30 seconds after hitting the power button to turn on...but 30 seconds is nothing, patience is key and the savings TOTALLY worth it. While it is not internet ready we bought the Western Digital box to get network/internet connectivity :) Happy Day! Now we are looking to purchase the Surround Sound with Blue Ray player for the TV.

I bought this TV cause i've always wanted a big tv but for a reasonable price.i was worried because i read that the picture wasn't great and the sound sucked...but the picture is awesome and the sound is outstanding.i recommend this tv to anyone i loooovvveee it.

this is a great set. easy to navigate menu, awesome picture! ive had the tv for a little over a month now and i cant complain. i didnt care about it being a smart tv, my blu ray player is, so i didnt see the need to also have a smart tv. its doing the job so far and its almost a nightly thing for me to watch a movie on netflix. its that good! as for sound, its ok but i prefer surround sound system. its a heavy tv, but i didnt have a problem hanging it on the wall with a helper. . it was definately worth the $600!

I was really impressed with the picture quality. Like most HD's, avoid leaving on when not watching, this saves the life of the set

I have to say, I read the reviews on this tv before purchasing it. Some had negative things to say either about the picture, the sound or both. The only problem we had was our cable box. Cable company came out and took care of that though. The picture is great and the sound is too. We replaced a 52" DLP, and what a difference in the picture. We also replaced our dvd player with a blu-ray dvd player, and what can I say, now I know what all the hype was about. How much clearer do you want your movies to be!!!

I was excited to get a 55 inch LCD 1080P HD TV for $800 until I got home, connected it to my cable and to my Xbox 360 and PS3. Now the quality with the PS3 and XBox 360 is okay but has slight motion blur, when watching the HD channels on the TV (which presently broadcasts in 1080i) the motion blur was HORRIBLE but at 1000:1 aspect ratio what should I expect. Most tv's this size average at least 7000:1 but that isn't worth it to me. I am a quality guy, I returned it and still shopping. If you are looking for a low end inexpensive item then get it, but if you want quality spend the extra money

Was looking for a new Tv and purchased this one for the size and the price. So far it has been an awesome value. Would highly recommend. If you are looking for a large Tv for a good price than this is perfect. Very easy to set up.

For the price you get a high quality picture and hardly any reflection from sun coming through the windows...it can be seen even from a side view angle, user friendly, easy to install and hook up to any other device. I would recommend this brand over and over again. I originally purchased a 32" Dynex for my son two years ago for video game playing....the tv is still in excellent condition and picture quality is outstanding on both tvs. Because the tv is so big and I live upstairs in a townhouse, I had it delivered through Best Buy. They were fast, on time and very professional!

We needed a 2nd large screen TV and didn't want to spend a lot of money since it's not in our main family room. However, we now prefer this over our other big screen. The color is wonderful, the sound is fine for us too. we do plan to add a sound system, but for now, it is better than we ever thought it would be (without additional system). and you cannot beat the price!

I purchased one of these televisions for a mothers day gift to my self about four years ago and it is wonderful and I had absolutely no problems. I saw this 55" tv on sale during the christmas holidays and couldn't resist purchasing another one. It has a beautiful picture and sound. One of the best televisons on the market. I and my family are enjoying it everyday.

Overall, a great buy and no regrets. But, I have noticed on some shows there is some shadowing on rapidly moving objects, and sometimes the very top or very bottom line of pixels (horizontally) blinks all white. Not sure if this is a TV problem, or something to do with the signal source: the fact it never happened on my 40" Dynex makes me want to blame the TV but the fact it does not happen when sourcing from a DVD or my PS3 (only happens when watching cable TV (HD and regular)) makes me think it could be insufficient input (ie; source). Either way, a small problem I can live with (it is intermittent and not often).

Using this as a computer monitor right now and couldn't be any happier. The sound is comparable to a rust nail scraping a tin can, but that was fixed with a decent surround sound system. I see absolutely no ghosting while playing games, however every minute or so a box that says "1080p" pops up in the top right corner. Can kind of be annoying, but I'm pretty sure its due to my cheap HDMI cable cutting the connection off. Overall, I'd say go for it if you can't afford, or don't want to spend an extra $300 on a samsung/sony. The picture quality is equal, if not better than the 46" Samsung I have in my living room.

i bought this yesterday and was very pleased! great picture!!!! Great sound!!!! easy setup!!! remote not fancy and confusing, its simple and clean!!!! 2 thumbs up!!! i didnt see any ghosting or issues other people have seen or mentioned.....FOR THE WIN =]

THIS IS A NICE LITTLE TV AND FOR 800.00 YOU CANT GO WRONG. IT WILL LAST YOU 2 TO 3 YEARS MAX AS DYNEX IS BEST BUY BRAND AND I HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE WITH THOSE TV'S THEY USE TO BE SOME JAPANESE NAME BUT THAN BEST BUY BOUGHT THEM. SO ENJOY WATCHING THE HIGH DEF AND YES YOU WILL GET SOME GHOSTING IF YOU HAVE CABLE IF YOU HAVE DIRECTV NO PROBLEMS. THE SOUND IS TOTAL TRASH, IT SOUNDS LIKE WHEN SOMEONE IS TALKING TO YOU ON THE PHONE IN THE BATHROOM.

The price was excellent and we love the picture. Great television.

I just built a Man Cave in my house & bought this TV for it. Once i hooked up the HDMI cord the picture is awesome, even better when watching on HD channels. Its a trip watching the tv, its almost life like! I saw other people complain about the sound quality but the room i put it in is 12x22 and it sounds just fine. With that said, its the best picture i have seen on a tv at a sports bar or anywhere. Highly recommended!
