55" excellent picture quality. Very good sound quality. Basic remote. Plenty of inputs. One negative, there is a video to audio lag on dialog. If you get for the right price you can't complain.

Having a hard time switching between HD channels and regular channels and not lose the sound. Think it's a cable provider issue though. Other than that, good tv with great picture

I bought this for $599 online. Was worried about some of the reviews. After hooking it up I was pleasantly surprised. This TV has a beautiful picture and has none of the motion blur or dead pixels some others reported. My son is gaming on it right now with no issues. Love the swivel stand. The sound is not an issue for me since I already had surround sound set up.

Pros: Excellent picture (no motion blur at all, bright and vivid colors), easy setup, large screen, inexpensive Cons: Mediocre sound at best (you should be using a home theater system with a screen this large anyway), lack of features (WiFi, etc.), lack of connections (no optical audio - digital coax audio and RCA only, no USB) Summary: This is a great purchase if you're looking for a basic HDTV with a large screen and an excellent picture at a good price. You probably won't find a tv at this size for a lower price. Look elsewhere if you're wanting a lot of features but also be prepared to pay a lot more.

I bought this tv for my girls for Christmas as our big projection tv kept burning out its lamp and everyone was green. The price was too good to pass up for this tv. The girls love it they watch tv, play the Wii and Playstation on it. Very happy with it!!

I purchased on black Friday for kids they love it. they use to play Kinect., movies, and watch TV. So far good,. LCD was required because its bright here and I have a lot of windows. Remote code not available for less expensive remotes. Worked with Logitech remote> . For under a $500 can't beat it. No regrets yet.

DYNEX HAS A STRONGER AND BETTER OVER FEEL THEN THE ELEMENT 55' THAT WAS RETURNED . THIS 55" DYNEX DOES NOT FREEZE LIKE THE ELEMENT ,,,AND OVER ALL BETTER PICTURE AND QUALITY THAT SURPASSES THE ELEMENT BRAND. PICTURES COME IN CLEARER AND DIGITAL IS CRISP . SHARP PICTURE FOR BLURAY TYPE MOVIES . WOULD BE GOOD IF IT HAD A USB PORT , BUT YOU GET THE FEATURES YOU PAY FOR THE PRICE. OVERALL NOT A BAD T.V. FOR THE PRICE AND HAS GOOD DARK PICTURE CLARITY ( LIKE HELL BOY 2 ) . I WOULD RECOMEND THIS TV. 10 TIMES MORE THAN THE ELEMENT BRAND,

    Good value, severe game lag

The on sale price point for this 55 inch LCD TV was excellent. Picture quality was good compared to older 480i TVs. Sound was good, although certain programs had sound/picture synchronization problems. Biggest problem was the severe input lag associated with less than 1080i signals (such as SNES). This made older games unplayable, and newer games without calibration settings quite annoying. For a TV that is to be used just for watching TV stations or DVDs, this is a great deal for the price.

We put this TV in our den and watch it every day. The picture is excellent and the sound is very good. Very easy to set up. It's heavy so we had to get help to put it on top of a 5' high entertainment center. We bought it on sale for more than $200 less than the regular price.

This TV was very easy to set up. The picture is clear and I've had no problems with it. It is the store brand but don't let that fool you. The quality is great. I currently have two other Dynex TV's in my house and will continue to purchase this brand.

    Awesome TV

This TV has an awesome picture, works flawlessly, and is half the price. While it was in the store it was beside all the top brands, vizio, sony, samsung, philips. Me and my wife thought it had a better picture than they did. It does not have wireless connection or internet capabilities, but we were not looking for those accessories. If you want a quality TV at an unbeatable price, this is it.

Poor quality picture and not good for gaming

We bought this TV after reading reviews that it would be good for gaming, provided you buy a better HDMI cable. Not the case. The TV showed sporadic lag time watching programs and a terrible amount of blurring while in game play. We bought an $80 cord to replace the flimsy one included with the TV but this did NOT solve the blurring/lag time issue. The picture itself is also sub-par. This is a bargain TV and it shows in the picture. It's definitely not good for a gaming TV even with upgraded HDMI cable. We returned this TV after two weeks and went with the LG 55" instead, also from Best Buy. They were great about the whole exchange process, including delivering the new TV and picking up the Dynex. As soon as the LG was turned on we could see a dramatic difference in the picture quality. Maybe the smaller screen Dynex TVs are better quality but this one was terrible. I'm glad we exchanged it for another brand and that Best Buy's exchange/return policy made it very easy to do so.
