Didn't need it afterall

After I got my monitor and was ready to hook it up, I realized I didn't need it after all. However, I'm absolutely certain that it worked perfect should you need the adapter.

Not as Advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite Best Buy's advertising this as an adapter that "converts DVI-I video signals into VGA analog," the adapter has significantly fewer contacts than a DVI-I plug. It’s a DVI-A (analog only) adapter, NOT a DVI-I adapter, so there’s signal loss when used where DVI-I is called for. I was anxious to use my new computer (with my old flat-screen VGA monitor) and no one had an -I converter in stock so I ordered from the quickest supplier--only to be told the next day by BestBuy that the order was delayed. Then it wasn't even what was advertised and had to be returned! So after additional delay I ended up ordering the right adapter online from Newegg, and from Newegg the correct part arrived sooner than promised.
