Recemtly converted to Comcast from DirecTv. Comcast boxes have no coax output and we have an old tv in guest room that works fine, but only has input for coax. Considered Cheap new flat screen for 400$ but as this is a guest room primarily used by my inlaws 6-7 times a year, not an expense I wanted to incur on top of already having to pay for an extra cable box in the room. This converter was a much more affordable option, easy to hook up, and works great.

Excellent value for the price. I needed a device to run my Xbox into an old CRT television with no RCA or HDMI inputs. This product allows you to input a component with RCA outputs through the co-axial (cable) input. I was a little hesitent with this product at first due to the lack of a switch, but fear not. When this product senses the component power up, it automatically switches the signal from the co-axial/cable signal to the RCA signal. The only downside is that once your auxiliary component is powered, the signal is not switchable...which isn't much of a problem, just power down your external component and the signal is automatically switched back to the co-axial/cable signal. Fantastic value for the money, easy install and a reliable product that delivers all it promises. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

As we updated our tv system from old school to HD, our splitters became obsolete due to the lack of input and output ports on the new HD boxes. The web and our provider did not give any solutions to the problem. After trolling Best Buy I saw this and brought it home. Not only did it restore my previous setup without having to do extensive, expensive rewiring or purchasing another box for a room which is rarely used, but it works great and it was cheap! The best solution ever!!

Have an old tv and couldn't hook up cable box to it. This added the additional hook up I needed and works great. Decent size as not to get in the way. Super easy to hook up.

I was hoping for a device that would allow me to connect multiple DVI devices, DVD, VCR and FIOS set top box to my old TV. Unfortunately I could only do the FIOS and one device to the TV. I would have to swap out the DVD for the tape deck to watch the old VHS tapes/movies and then swap again to put the DVD back in line.

My wife has a craft room adjacent to our rec room, and we always connected her TV by connecting the output cable to her TV. With a recent DVR upgrade, the new box had no output cable connection. The modulator was a simple solutiont to keep her connected without having to obtain an additional satellite box..

I appreciate finding this equipment because it fits a need that I thought couldn't be fulfilled. I have an older CAVS Karaoke Machine (analog) and I have a brand new Toshiba Television with HDMI inputs etc. but there was no input with a RCA video from my Karaoke . The signal is converted from analog to digital and now the video Karaoke words appear on my new TV. I thought that my Karaoke was too obsolete because of technology changes. Somebody is thinking ahead to allow for this transition. Thank you BEST BUY!!!!!

This modulator was exactly what I was looking for. I have an older tv that was collecting dust but with this modulator we are now able to watch DVDs and play video games on my PS3!!!

I have an Nintendo Gamecube and needed some way to hook it up to my LG HDTV. The only problem was my TV didn't have a composite AV connection (yellow, red, white plugs), but did have component and a coaxial cable jack. I did some searching for a component cable for the Gamecube, but being as rare as they are, the price for one was ridiculous. Enter the Dynex RF Modulator to the rescue. Took my standard composite AV cable with the Gamecube, connected it to this bad boy, then a coaxial cable from the RF to my TV's cable jack. Problem solved! My only complaint is it has to use an AC wall outlet for power, but it's not a deal breaker considering I get to play my old school systems now.
