My 25' Ethernet cable was few feet short in my new house. Instead of buying a 30' cable I got this coupler and added a short cable I had. Perfect.

Needed to reliably extend a wired laptop connection to the wall and this worked just fine with an impressive, solid and secure "click" on attaching the two cords I had.

Instead of running a new CAT 5 line, I used this to extend my broadband to reach my PS3. I have not noticed any issues in over 3 years.

This coupler allowed me to use existing ethernet cords to make a longer one, and it cost much less than a long ethernet cord.

Not much to say about this other than it works as it's supposed too. It is well made, and reasonably priced for a brick and mortar purchase.

Expected to be able to extend an existing Ethernet cable to a new location for my wired laptop and it did the job.

These reviews often involve being either really let down by a lack of product features or elation at having your expectations being blown away. Sadly, I cannot say that about this product. There were no surprises in this package. The cat-5 in-line coupler coupled my cat-5 cables exactly as expected. I was able to take my 2 existing 50-foot cables and make them behave just like a single 100-foot cable. It was almost like having the real thing! That's pretty swell when you think about it. It sure beat the alternative of breaking out the wire cutters, the soldering iron, the solder , and the electrical tape. I would definitely recommend the cat-5 coupler over soldering wires together because if the need ever arises, the coupler can be detached very quickly. That is, unless your cat-5 cable's little plastic clippy thing on the end is finicky and difficult to un-click.

Works as described and very cost effective.I would purchase a couple more to keep as spare.

Although it is kind of bulky. It can secure the Ethernet cable tightly. Never pop the cable out easily like other cheap one bought from eBay.

Quality is good. Wire plugged in both end does not pop out easily.

It is exactly what it says it is. No issues in use. Data travels at expected speed and works immediately. It has withstood getting kicked, banged, and lightly stepped on. I don't recommend beating it up,but use in a highly "trafficed" area is not an issue.
