    I needed to lengthen my internet ethernet cord but did not want to invest in one long one when I already had two short ones. This coupler did the trick. I did not notice any decrease in speed or efficiency of my internet connection through the coupler. The downside was that the price seemed higher than comparable models at other stores. Additionally when looking for it bring a picture/product number as many store employees indicated that they did not carry such a product
