    This is a female/female LAN cable connector used to hook 2 CAT 5 ethernet cables together for more length. It does not have any internal electronics, but is only to physically connect the cables. It is kind of like an extension cord for ethernet cables. At $12.99, it is very expensive for this type of device.

    The Product works as is intended and with a ever growing world of wireless connectivity it is getting harder and harder to find this coupler. If you already own the Cat 5 Cable and just need to place two of them together for longer length this is a great product to have. Unfortunately my problems lay in the price of this item. It seems a little steep for me, but on that note purchasing Cat 5 cable, ends and a crimp-er or simple a Cat 5 Cable long enough to suffice the distance was still rather expensive. The only other problem I have with it is it is in a much to large of a casing which makes it hard to hide. Other than these to minor issues it does what it is suppose to do and works well.
