These speakers are nice they sound great, too bad they don't have input for headphones :(

Good and clear sound, SImple to connect and vintage look which I liked

We found these speakers on the Best Buy website. The price was lower than everything we looked at with a good review. They have great sound quality and they don't need an ac adapter. They're exactly what we were looking for.

I use this set in my desktop. They have good sound and they are the right size. For everyday use.

I bought these desk top speakers for $10 on sale. The sound is really good for compact desktop speakers. The issue I have is that they only work with a powered USB port. My computer has three USB ports -- two powered and one unpowered. Unfortunately I have three items I need to power -- my keyboard, mouse and speakers. That leaves the speakers as the odd man out, so they don't get much use. I tried plugging in the USB cable into a wall adapter, but the power was to much for the speakers, and I get a loud regular electronic pulse sound. I'm hanging on the speakers in case my next laptop has three powered USB ports, or my IT dept. can fix/change the unpowered USB I have now. If you computer has three or more USB ports, you can check to see if your cabled mouse works in all three -- if it does these speakers will probably work for you. If not, they might not be useful. Also, USB splitters, even powered ones won't work.

Good sound out of these speakers. They are a nice compact size and seem well built. I wish the speaker wire seperating the speakers was a little longer , but overall I'm pretty happy with these speakers. Good Mid range and highs, though the Bass is lacking (not suprised though since it seems like a single speaker element with no woofer). I'm using it with my portable MP3 player and it handles music pretty well and the sound is very clear. Overall, these are good speakers for the bargain price.

A good USB pair of computer speakers. Adds quality to poor 19" HDTV speaker systems.

Just got them today. The sound is excellent, better than the rather flimsy speakers that came with the computer. Also they look better. I could quibble that I would prefer the volume control be on the front and that there was a power on/off control, but those are small issues. For $10, these speakers are a great buy.

These speakers are great. I saw that they were on sale and I’m not a person that passes up a good deal. They are loud crisp and clear. The Bass is pretty good to for speakers that do not have a subwoofer. I suppose people prefer the black ones but the wood paneling is beautiful. I was looking at the reviews for the same speaker but black and color. I wish people would not star down a product just because they didn’t read about the components of the speaker. This speaker does not have a headphone jack. If the details of the speakers don’t mention a headphone jack that means its non-existent. It has an Audio output cord and uses USB to power up. This is worth the buy.

I've owned these for two weeks, and am very happy I bought them. Do they have the extremes of deep bass or crystalline highs? Of course not. Do they fill a room with high volume levels? No. That said, they have excellent midrange and are a huge upgrade over any laptop speaker(s). They are a steal for $10.
