However, this is not a alternative solution to a conventional flat iron if you have fine hair. This tool just overly dries the hair and it doesn't really give that sleek look of conventional flat irons. I felt it damaged my very fine hair, made my hair look dull, and it din't eliminate the frizz altogether . I did not use it a second time.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this item online after reviewing a fair amount of tutorials and thinking this was the answer to my frizzy haired prayers. I paid the hefty sum and raced home to try it. Plugged in the thick cord to start it up and after the initial setup/ auto cleaning I tried it out on a small portion of my hair for about 20 seconds. The results on that trial test of hair seemed nice, but it stopped working after that. I got the dreaded reset power error. No matter what I did after that it wouldn’t power back up to blow dry my hair. It just kept saying “reset”. So disappointed! Best Buy was great to refund it quickly, but I honestly think it’s scary to spend about $500 on a product like this that seems have such poor performance. Shame on Dyson for not doing enough testing before selling this expensive tool. I cleaned the filter just incase that was a problem.. no use.. and even tried it in different power outlets incase that was an issue. No luck.. did not work at all after first 20 seconds. I’ve never spent this kind of money on something to have it act up so quickly.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Dyson Airwrap which I have never had any issues with so was very excited to receive the Airstrait as a gift only for it to not get past the "cleaning" startup due to a faulty power plug. I have looked around and this seems to be an issue so make sure you test it once you receive it.
