Let me start by saying how much I have wanted the Dyson Airwrap, and I am so happy with it. It did not disappoint one bit. The fact that they have this multi-styler for curly+coily hair is even better. I have coily 4b- 4c hair, and it works so well on my hair. It cut down the dry time by so much, and it makes it so much easier for me to straighten my hair (when I want to). I love the size of the wand base because it makes it so much easier to hold and use. The firm smoothing brush is definitely my go-to attachment because it works so well to dry my hair while brushing through my coily hair. The wide-tooth comb is also another favorite attachment. It allows me to keep the cool setting while drying my hair without pulling through my curls and keeping them in place. The diffuser is also a great attachment to keep your curls locked in. I just need to find the right products to keep my hair hydrated because my hair can feel so dry sometimes, but this diffuser is going to be great to use when paired with the right product. Lastly, the barrel to curl your hair is so awesome. It took me a minute to figure out how to use it, but when I realized how the hair just wraps around the barrel when holding it properly, I was truly amazed. I ended up getting rid of my old curling iron and donating my old hair dryer. This has everything you need, along with a cute case to place all your attachments and the base. I cannot say how much I love this multi-styler and how perfectly it works on my coily hair. I love that you can use it hot or just use the cool settings to dry your hair. I downloaded the app, and you can adjust the times based on your hair texture and your needs. I am a beginner at this, but I think this multi-styler is going to be a staple in my hair care routine, and I am so excited to have it. Everything feels well-made from the attachments to the base to the plug. The only issue I had with the app was the introductory tutorial. It would not load or work even when I connected my device to it via Bluetooth. Thank goodness for tutorial videos all over the internet and on YouTube. I would def recommend this to everyone.

Dyson has done it again with an inventive hair styling product. I've had their hair dryer since its release, and I love it. This Airwrap i.d. Multistyler is next level. I must say though, there's definitely a learning curve to this product. I've tried it a handful of times and once you get used to it, it's definitely easier than a normal curling iron. That being said, there are some features I really appreciated, along with some flaws. I've always had problems curling my hair and have never been particularly good at it, but the Airwrap definitley makes it easier. I found that trying to curl larger sections of hair simply doesn't work. You need very small ones for it to be able to wrap properly. I also found the barrel to be slightly too short. My hair is a bit longer and I feel it would work a lot better if the actual barrel was longer. The root of my hair and the ends can't be on the barrel at the same time. It's just too long. I also find myself having to manually help the hair strands wrap around the barrel sometimes. Even on the highest wrap setting. The fact you can switch the direction that the barrel is drawing in your hair makes it super easy. I learned that you want to curl your hair away from your face and this feature makes it very easy. The other feature, that is my favorite one, is the cold blast. Wrapping with heat, and then holding the curl with cold air is something all curling irons should have. The blow dryer attachment is very nice, very smooth feeling and also pretty quiet. The roundbrush I have seen work well with other people, but my hair just got caught in it and I gave up. Overall, this product is defintley better than a normal curling iron and makes it a fun experience. The real question... is it a $600 styling tool? One thing for sure, the Airwrap i.d. is a luxury item purchase.

The Dyson Airwrap i.d. MultiStyler for curly hair offers fast, easy styling without heat damage, ideal for both 3A curly and 2A wavy hair. It dries and styles faster than traditional tools, produces consistent and defined curls, and is app-guided for personalized timing. It comes with six attachments and a travel case. Downsides include a learning curve with the Airwrap barrel and slightly bulky size, making back sections harder to reach. Instead of buying multiple hair tools and running out of space, you can just switch the attachments to use different tools for your hair. Since you can dry and style at the same time, it’s a real time-saver when you’re in a rush and want to do a quick style before heading out. The app is definitely recommended — it offers plenty of tips based on your hair profile. The travel case is made of high-quality materials. I’m almost able to fit all the accessories, except for the wave curl diffuser. I might need to watch an unboxing video to see if there’s a specific way to store the attachments, because right now I can’t get it to fit. The only con I have is that it is a pricey product. It only makes sense if you plan to take advantage of it. Overall, it’s efficient, easy to use, and produces professional-looking curls with less product needed.

The packaging is big and a bit overwhelming, at first, but dang... Dyson knows how to present a product and make the recipient feel special! This set is beautiful, which is the first thing that stood out to me, and the fact that it comes with it's own container makes moving it around the house or taking it with you on a trip, so easy! Now, that being said, the container takes up some real estate so if you're flying and only using a carry-on, well this would take up a serious amount of that space. The fact that they were so thoughtful in the design, though, that they included a little lip on the inside of the top so that you can properly set up your phone for use as you're drying is just a chef's kiss of consideration for their customers!!! The app is easy to install and easy to get going with, however you should set aside a bit of time to get yourself really set up for the best uses of each attachment. As a busy mom, it was hard for me to commit to that time for the first couple of uses, but now that I have sat down and gone through the set up... it's totally worth it! I LOVE the round brush as it is super easy on my hair, even in the current "shedding season" and the dryer is REALLY quiet which was a great change from just about every other blowdryer I've encountered. My "hearing loss" notification on my smart watch hasn't been set off once and I've used the dryer (and it's other attachments) a half dozen times now... my sensitive ears thank Dyson so much!!!

I don't often style my hair because it takes too much time. Drying/heating up curling iron, going section by section to curl every strand - - I just don't have the time or energy as a mom with two young kids! Every day I pull it back and honestly, I've started to feel like the lack of doing my hair has translated into me giving up on my appearance. So I pulled the trigger to see if the Airwrap i.d. Multistyler could speed up the styling process, and I have to say - I am SO pleasantly surprised! While I've had the Dyson hairdryer for a few years, this tool is a way better investment with much more versatility. What I love: - Unlike the dryer, the attachments STYLE while drying. Note - you do need to get hair mostly dry before curling, but the various attachments (diffuser and smoothing brush) dry hair quickly without causing frizz. Even when I stopped at this stage and didn't use the curling attachment, my hair had more volume and was noticeably smoother than just blow drying. - Fewer uncurled strangler pieces. Because the device is a literal VACUUM, it sucks the hair around the curling rod. I found that I kept going "oh wow" because it got all the little strands. - Easy to switch curling directions. I always found it to be hard to curl one side because curling away from my face was easier on one side vs the other. The curling tool has a knob at the top that you turn when you want to go in the other direction, making curling away from your face really simple. - Won't get caught in the cord. I always felt like my curling iron cords were getting twisted when I'd curl my hair, but the cord on the Airwrap i.d. actually rotates, which is oddly cool and super unique. - Cold blast sets curl really well. I didn't know this was a thing, but I found that after wrapping with heat and then holding the curl with the cold air sets the curl MUCH better. - This was actually fun! Using this actually felt like more of a fun activity than a 'I need to hurry and get this over with' type chore. What I don't love: - The box is giant. This makes sense because there are so many tools that come with it, but I would never bring this when traveling because it takes up way too much space. - The app is hit or miss. The App took a few tries to get set-up because my internet connection wasn't strong enough, and when it was, it kept saying to check internet connection. This was frustrating since the i.d. differentiator can only be set up through the app. Once I got this running, it was cool, but I found the tool to be fine without this. - Doesn't curl big chunks. This part did take more time because in order for the hair to properly wrap, smaller chunks need to be used. Overall - this is a really versatile device and is the ONE tool that can replace all of the others. It is a time-saver when it comes to drying and styling, but takes about the same time as curling with a traditional iron.

After configuring my hair profile in the MyDyson app, the i.d. curl pattern automatically sets airflow and heat. 13-blade Digital Motor V9 spins at up to 110,000 rpm to generate 3.2 kPa of pressure to create the Coanda effect: hair curls itself around the Conical Barrel or Firm Smoothing Brush without hand-winding. In practice, that translates to being able to achieve 80 percent dryness using the Fast Dryer attachment, and then immediately change to the Conical Barrel for set curls—all within a single session. The Wave + Curl Diffuser gives me precise curl definition: in Dome mode (no prongs) I get stretched S-waves, and in Diffuse mode (prongs) I get root lift and volume. The Wide-Tooth Comb attachment is ideal for straightening tight coils before styling, cutting detangling time in half. Whilst styling, intelligent heat control makes over 40 temperature readings per second to eliminate heat peaks above 150 °C, and the negative-ion generator eradicates static and frizz. If there is a learning curve, it's familiarizing yourself with the personalized routines within the app and switching between six attachments. At $599, it's a purchase, but for technical performance—air-powered styling, quick heat sampling, and Bluetooth customization—it's hard to beat.

I was able to achieve a soft, bouncy blowout and a quick, defined wash-and-go with ease. The fast dryer attachment is also a standout—it lives up to its name. I used it to prep my hair for a silk press, and it significantly cut down on drying time without compromising my hair’s health or texture. There’s a bit of a learning curve, particularly when setting up your profile and getting used to the angles for each attachment, but once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth sailing from there. If you style your hair regularly and want professional-quality results with less heat and more care, the Dyson Airwrap ID is absolutely worth the investment.
