tried a different brand of vacuum and missed my dyson-- love the long cord, great suction, surprisingly light weight to push

I bought this to replace my old DC07 Animal that was getting pretty tired, even with filter cleanings and replacement beater bars. I wanted something that had immense suction for the carpet. Twice vacuuming the house so far, and had to empty the container 4 times the first time and 3 times the second. The amount of dust and grime and pet hair this pulls out of the carpet is beyond anything I have ever seen. Sure, it's a little hard to push, but that's because its WORKING. The carpet is even a lighter color. Pretty impressive.

When I moved into the place I am now the owner told me they had professional come clean the carpet. I bought the Dyson because I didnt have a vacuum. No regrets, the first time I used it I wanted to drop on the floor when I saw the amount of junk that the Dyson got out of that carpet. I even called my landlord sent her a picture and told them how dirty that carpet was. I had to pass it twice in each room. it's a tiny bit heavy for me but not bad. Very easy to clean and use.

Performance wise. no complaints about this vacuum. It has excellent suction power. Tried my new Samsung cordless stick to vacuum a room. Repeated vacuuming with the Dyson and it pulled out so much more. My Samsung has been relegated to hard floor duty only as a result. The reason it lost a star for me is that 1) I don’t like the method Dyson chose to release and engage the handle. Most vacuums and older Dysons had a foot pedal for this. This one you just yank and push into place firmly when done. This is my second Dyson with this feature. The first one just stopped standing and had to lay on the ground if I had to stop during vacuuming or was propped against a wall so as to not fall when not in use. 2) All Dyson vacuums that I have ever had cause the lights in the room that they are plugged into to dim. My last was always tripping the electrical circuit and I had to go out to the panel to reset. My new one hasn’t caused the circuit to trip yet but, the unsettling light dimming still occurs. This has happened in three different homes in three different states. This is a Dyson thing. Maybe all that extra suction requires extra power? 3) This vacuum comes with 3 tool attachments. Directions show where two are to be stored on the body but, nothing about the third. There is no storage for the third. Drawbacks are minor irritations compared to how this vacuum works. I would definitely recommend this vacuum.

My wife was skeptical and didn't understand why we would spend this much money on a vacuum cleaner, but after using it once, she fell in love! I struggled on whether or not we should go wired or wireless, but we're happy we made the decision we did. The cord is long enough that you don't have to plug it in all the time and the power on the corded version is incredible! The hard flooring/rug feature is great for us given we have hardwood and area rugs throughout the house. Overall, a great product!

This vac has suction power and gets into those tight corners. It can maneuver under things and is worth the money. I purchased on sale and it is just what I wanted.

Dyson ball animal 2 is a excellent vacuum, picks up all the cat hair in the carpet. Attachments were very usable and easy to use. Only down size is the weight, but we only use it on the first floor of the home.

I really love my Dyson!! Great vacuum cleaner and easy to handle. Carpet looks clean and fresh. Great product.

This is possibly the best vacuum I have ever used! It definitely picks up all fur seen and unseen. The suction is so strong it is a bit difficult to move, but this is exactly what I had bargained for when I got this vacuum! The only complaint was putting it together was not as crystal clear as I had expected, but even that doesn’t warrant any stars off. Highly recommend this for anyone!!!

This is the best vacuum that I've ever owned. It does great with hardwood floors and short carpet. If you have thick carpet, I would probably recommend the Shark over this model. This works GREAT with cat & dog hair. It easily gets the hair off of sofas and recliners. It is very easy to take apart and use in the different modes. Super easy to clean. I do not have to clean the filter very often.

And I don't mean that in a bad way. I've owned older Dyson Vacuum models and none compare to this one. The suction and steering is unlike any other. The additional attachments are also a nice add-on. My only complaint is the wand. It's not as sturdy as on past models so if you wanted to use it with a floor attachment for use on hardwood floors it can be difficult. Other than that well worth the $$$.

Loving my new Dyson animal ball vacuum. Getting around furniture is easy. I use it on hard surface floors and carpet, works great on both. If I could change anything, I would put a longer power cord on it.

Very happy with the purchase. It is very well made, and very powerful. A little heavy, but I like how you can turn its head and reach everywhere you need, something you can't do with most other vaccums.

This is our 2nd animal dyson vacuum cleaner and we love it! Our first one was the first version of the vacuum and lasted forever. The only reason we stopped using it was because we lost all of the attachments in moving and it had quite a bit of dander that escaped when turned on. This new one has such a powerful suction. Our carpet actually looked brighter after the first cleaning! Love it!

Owned for almost 2 years. Suction is the best and amazing. The cord length is extra long so I can vacuum several areas without having to stop and relocate the plug. The wand is very difficult to use and does not extend easily. You have fight and wrestle to get it to where you want it. The handle is flimsy but has not broken. Must own if you have Carpet and pets.

This is our second Dyson animal and our third Dyson vacuum. All work great. Powerful...put our Oreck to shame. Goes together easily out of the box (check the utube video). Heavy but top of the line.
