This vacuum puts every other one including the shark I’ve used to shame. The annoying of fur and dust it gets out of my carpet is unreal.. would recommend if you have pets!

This vacuum is perfect for any household that needs the strongest suction. Sucks the dirt right out of the cracks in my hardwood floors. Love it! Would definitely recommend

On day one of having the vacuum we vacuumed a rug we have in the family room and it looked brand new it picked up so much dirt from the rug this vacuum really does it’s job

I didn't want to believe the hype but really, the Dyson is fantastic. We have a home, with 3 very fuzzy/sheddy dogs. And this thing does WONDERS. Recommend to everyone.

This is the second Dyson that I have purchased and it's definitely more powerful than the previous one. I was really surprised on how much dirt it was able to vacuum up.

When I first purchased this vacuum cleaner- I hated it. Putting it together was a bit fiddley with trying to get the hose locked down in place and there’s a lot of plastic and it’s heavy. But now after using it for a couple of months, I have to say- it gets the job done. Great suction, easy to empty the bin on it. The hose is still a challenge to get back in place but otherwise a good solid vacuum.

I gave the dyson animal 2, 4 stars instead of 5 because I think it actually might suck too hard! We have a very large very furry Australian Shepherd and he sheds ALOT! We have to run the vacuum daily to clean up the mess of hair he leaves. It does a great job with dog hair and dander on hardwood and tile floors and large area rugs. Where it has issues is with smaller rugs... they can not be vacuumed since the dyson actually sucks them right off the floor. I have found no effective way to hold them still with my feet while trying to vacuum them. The dyson just sucks them right up. This vac was purchased when my last dyson died at about 5 years old. If you like dyson products, you’ll probably like this vac as well. But it is noticeably more difficult for my wife to use due to the extreme suction. It does have a larger opening inside the brush head than my last dyson which helps to keep the outlet of the brush head from clogging up where the hair and stuff goes into the vac body. It has an attachment that makes vacuuming upholstery pretty nice... it works well on cat hair that gets left in chairs. But just like my last dyson, the extension hose is a bit of a fight as it wants to retract and pull the vac to you rather than the vac staying still. My last dyson was exactly the same. In summary, My main use is for the mass of dog hair in my house, and it does work very well for that. It does very well on hard floors, larger rugs, and carpet... it’s Useless on small rugs. Has all the features and downsides of other dyson vacs. But I think they might have overdone it with the extreme amount of suction.

Purchased this vacuum because we have a new dog, and the old vacuum was not good enough. Well this vacuum is amazing!! The furniture attachment is a life saver!! Easy to use and boy does it work! The only issue I have is the hose attachment is so powerful it makes it awkward to use without some some one holding the unit back.

Dyson builds up their vacuums to such high expectations. The Animal 2 clears that bar with ease. Pulled stuff out of the old carpet that another brand didn't touch.

This vacuum is powerful, lightweight and easy to use. Great product.

This vacuum exceeded my expectations;. Having 6 animals in the home and mixed floor surfaces (hardwood, tile and carpet) I wanted something that would allow me to effectively vacuum all three. This vacuum is perfect. A bonus is that I can empty the canister so that no odorous material is being left in a bag. The attachments took a bit to get used to, but are effective as well.

Lots of suction, easy to use. Not too heavy. Pulls a lot of dirt out of the carpet.

The vacuum is very heavy to be able to lug around the house. The suction is great. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you have stairs to sweep. Also it’s hard to use the Stretch hose because it doesn’t bend when it has the metal hose in it. I wish I had never spent the money to buy this machine.

Right out of the box you have a few pieces to assemble for this vacuum but once it is together it is light weight and does a good job of getting a lot out of the carpet. the only thing I wish it had was spots for all the accessory pieces, the upholstery beater/ vacuum attachment does not have a storage spot on the vacuum where are old vacuum had a spot for it.

Awesome vacuum. I had an old Dyson Animal I had bought 15 or so years ago. I recently saw a Shark on QVC, and thought it sounded good, and much smaller than my old Dyson, so I got it. (and gave away my old Dyson Animal). BIG mistake. Some of the reviews on this one are iffy, but the minute I got it together and started vacuuming, I was so happy. The ONE caveat is, the vacuum itself is fantastic. Dyson Customer service? HORRIBLE. Thank goodness for the Geek Squad. The instructions for putting this thing together are super unclear. So one frustrating call to Dyson, followed up by a call to the Geek Squad, and I finally got it put together. I'm not the only one who found the instructions unclear either, it's apparently super common, so you'd think Dyson would be a little more helpful. Moral of the story, if you get it...youtube how to put it together, the instructions are utter garbage.

Love this Vacuum. Get all the dog hair. Does loss some power picking up things after a long time but i do live in the country

Choosing a Dyson vacuum was a no brainer. Over many years, Dyson has shone me that it is the product of choice, so I had no difficulty deciding-just a matter of which model. The Dyson-Ball Animal 2 Upright Vacuum-Iron/ Purple was my choice--it is powerful. easy to handle and to clean. Lastly, but important to me, it is purple.

We purchased this to replace our first Dyson Animal which lasted us 12 years. The suction power is very powerful. Normally we could vacuum area rugs with no problem. But this unit literally sucks it off the floor. Our carpet also looks a lot cleaner. With 2 German Shepherds that shed a lot. This vacuum allows us to keep their hair to a bare minimum.

I am very happy with my Dyson I have the previous animal purple Dyson for over 10 years it was amazing and so I just bought the next and I’m very happy with it
