Although the Dyson Animal II has great suction power and is fairly easy to use on carpet that doesn't have a deep pile and also on other flat surfaces, it is very difficult to push and pull through carpet that has a deeper pile. I do like how easy it is to dump whatever is in the cannister and I like it that one doesn't have to purchase bags.

Best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I have owned many to include Hoover, Shark, Kirby etc… this one is the best because it doesn’t lose suction. This vacuum is light weight and maneuverable. I have purchased three of these from Best Buy to give as gifts as well.

I recently moved and needed a new vacuum. The floors at the new house had obviously been vacuumed by the cleaning company, but out of curiosity I decided to see how much more this thing would pick up. I emptied the canister SIX times on floors that I thought were clean. Super light and maneuverable as well. You won't be disappointed!

My favorite vacuum ever! I love the self propel feature as I have a bad back and just have to direct it in the right direction. Has a long cord, powerful motor, multiple attachments and is easy to empty and clean.

I’ve been a Dyson fanatic for years. This vacuum doesn’t disappoint. We have 3 dogs in our home so we use this regularly (along with our handheld Dyson for touching up). It’s insane to see how dirty your floors can get. It is pricey but you get what you pay for!

We bought an Animal Dyson in 2003 and we finally made the decision to upgrade. From out of the box we have been very happy that we stuck with Dyson and chose the Animal again. Although the new design (to us) takes a little time to get used to, we are so impressed with the amount of suction this new model has. It is unreal!!

We can see a huge difference when vacuuming with this Dyson from our old Bissell! There’s no comparison! Love this vacuum already!

This vacuum is well worth the price. With two dogs that shed a lot this is perfect for the hardwood, the rugs, and the furniture.

I have two labs that shed a lot. This vacuum is very powerful and picks up everything. Also like how it picks up on bare floors.

I have a dog and the attachment worked great for getting hair off of the couch. Great suction and the house feels nice and clean!

Favorite purchase this year. My dog has short hair that gets stuck in the carpet and furniture and this picks it right up with ease! I love that it can clean carpet to wood. Easy to clean and all the attachments are useful! I can’t wait to add the pet grooming tool!!

I love this vacuum. Great suction. Picks up kitty litter on the first sweep. Great video to watch so you get the most out of it.

The Dyson Animal 2 is the greatest, great suction, picks up all dog hair, I love it. Plus the price was right thanx to Best Buy

Bought to replace an old vacuum from target. I did a lot of research before making the leap to dyson and still happy with it.

Power! Dyson is by far the best Vacuums out there. They are expensive but they last year's and don't lose suction. Recommend!

I bought this vacuum specifically for the upstairs since its carpet and thats where the cats hang out. It works great, I have no issues of it being hard to push cause the suction is too hard like other reviews have said. It does a fantastic job at getting the cat liter that inevitably gets tracked onto the carpet and getting the cat hair, one of which is a long hair cat who always drops clumps of fur. I usually have a different vacuum for the downstairs but I have needed to bring this one down instead on occasion, not carpet down there though. I will say that is a pain as it is heavy which is also a downfall when I need vacuum the actual stairs as well. It works great on doing the blinds too. Makes that job super quick but it is a little awkward sometimes since the hose is attached to a large, heavy vacuum. Overrall though, I do love this vacuum so far and I really hope it lasts a long time, so far going on a year.

This our second Dyson, our first lasted 10+ years and performed very well. We had a Akita that shed his undercoat twice a year, this vacuum did an excellent job keeping up with all the hair. So far the new one is performing well. I preferred the way the other dyson locked into upright position , i think this one is upright and as i let go it falls back. But overall I am happy with this purchase.

We had the first generation of this vacuum for years and loved it. When it broke, we switched over to Shark. They just can't compare to the Dyson. The suction and cleaning power of the Dyson runs circles around the Shark that we had, and is comparable in price.

Four dogs and vacuuming weekly at home in a 2,500 sqft house, vacuum lasted 2 years. Thats pretty heavy use in my opinion but i was not disappointed. When this one broke, we used our warranty and purchased the newer model.

Best vacuum ever especially when you own dogs. This is my second ball vacuum, and they last years’s and worth every penny.
