Does a good job picking up pet hair and anything else. Great suction. Fairly light weight. A little hard to push on thicker carpet but not a big deal. Does a nice job with hard wood floors and transitioning from carpet to hard flooring.

This baby absolutely sucked the soul out of my carpets!! I’m pretty sure it picked up things that had been in the carpets since well before I moved in and I’ve lived in my duplex for 2 years. It has made staying on top of 2 cats worth or hair and litter so much easier. Yes it is heavy but it is worth it know that it is actually cleaning well

I am glad I bought it. It has great suction power. It was easy to put together. It goes from floors to carpet easily. It is a bit heavy but that is the only thing I can say that I may not be happy with. Everything I am very happy with.

I adopted a husky and was in need of some serious fur removing power. I decided to purchase a cheaper, cordless vacuum (different brand) with good ratings. Not only was it deficient at removing fur from rugs, carpet, and couches, it broke within three months. I was frustrated and out of options. I was weary about the high price tag, but after reading endless reviews and having conversations with several friends who own a Dyson, I decided to go with the Ball Animal 2 Upright Vacuum. I am not disappointed, just like all my friends told me. If only I had listened to them earlier! As I put the vacuum together, the plastic pieces gave it a bit of a lower quality feel. But boy was I surprised when I turned it on. I gave my bedroom a quick run over, not expecting to pick up much because I had just vacuumed. I was both disgusted and delighted when I saw it had picked up quite a bit of dirt and fur. I find the vacuum easy to maneuver and amazing at cleaning up fur. I like the attachments, especially the one for furniture. The cord is long enough to vacuum a large area without having to find a new plug in closer to the area. The trade off of a cordless, lighter vacuum is so worth it. This is a beast of a vacuum and I finally feel like I one tool to keep a clean, fur free house.

Dyson does not disappoint. The suction is amazing, length of cord better than before, the swivel and ease of maneuvering, all of these things are the tip of the iceberg. I’m so glad we got another one. Our first Dyson still works after 10 years but we wanted a new one that was lighter.

Okay, it was very hard to come to terms to spend this much money for a vacuum... but, after months of poor vacuum quality with Shark, we did it. It made our carpet feel like it was new. I was so surprised (also a little horrified) how much dirt we actually got on the first vacuum of JUST our living room?!!!! You won’t regret buying this vacuum, I LOVE it!!! It has a very strong suction but it’s not difficult or heavy to push through the house, it’s very easy. The attachments are awesome too and the suction is just as strong with the hose. 100% recommend.

First Dyson purchase. Can say enough great things about it. The sales person was super knowledgeable and demonstrated all this vacuum has to offer. She was absolutely right, came home used it and it super powerful and everything I was hoping for. Easy to put together, no tools needed. Works great between hard wood and area rugs. Buy this with confidence.

I went from a Kirby to this Dyson and I Love it!!! The best vacuum cleaner I've ever had. Powerful suction. Easy to operate and empty. Love not having bags anymore!

Really has the most powerful suction of any vacuum I have owned. Fairly light, gets to where I need it to go, and easily goes from carpet to floor and vice-versa.

I recently purchased a home and I needed a strong vacuum because one of my dogs sheds constantly. This machine is a beast, I love all the attachments it comes with, it comes in handy for the hard to reach spots. I love that I am able to use it on hardwood floor and carpet without making any adjustments. It's easy to clean and easy to use.

I love the Dyson Ball Animal so much that I bought a second one for the second house I have to clean! My first one has lasted me four years and still going! Before I bought the Dyson, I was buying a new vacuum every two years or so and the suction was terrible! This vacuum picks up all the fur and the suction continues to work as well as well over time as it did when it was brand new. When I needed a second vacuum, I knew exactly what to buy and I wasn't disappointed. Don't let the higher price scare you, it is cheaper than buying a new vacuum every two years! I also love that it is bagless!!

This is a great vacuum! The suction is perfect and the ease and use of it is amazing! The automatic transition from carpet to hard floors is great because you don’t have to change settings! It’s not heavy like most vacuum cleaners that make you feel like you’ve worked your arms out afterwards. Worth the investment!

Easy to maneuver and great suction just like the commercials say. And that's why I bought it. I wanted a vacuum that was going to get the dirt - along the walls, in the carpet, etc. And this does a great job! Makes vacuuming a pretty easy job. It's also super easy to empty the dirt canister. I would have given it 5 stars except I think the price is high. But I would definitely recommend it.

Great vacuum, easy to operate, incredibly easy to navigate, almost seems self-propelled. So far it seems to do a really good job of, well, vacuuming.

Dyson products are outstanding. I highly recommend this vacuum. I have one and I bought one for my mom and she loves it. Easy to use and it's light.

I really like this vacuum. Yes, it's pretty spendy. But if you're sick of mediocre vacuums that probably are spitting out more dust than actually make it to the trash, it's worth it. I think what sells this vacuum for me besides the fact that it cleans my carpets and hard floors really, really well, it is a sealed filtration vacuum meaning that its designed to not leak out any allergens or dust that it picks up. My floors stay cleaner for longer because half of the dirt I pick up with it isn't spit out of seams and holes into the air to eventually settle right back into the carpet. On top of that, Dysons have the strongest suction available so the hose performs amazing. Usually I never bother with hose attachments because the suction isn't strong enough to be worth my time. This vacuum is completely different. The suction can be double edged sword though. From my understanding, this vacuum is not a good choice for long shag type carpets or light rugs. However it hasn't had any issues being to hard to push on my medium pile carpets or my area rug. I love using it because I know it's doing an amazing job.

Very strong vacuum. Almost too strong. Has a nice long cord. Attachments are nice, except for some reason they dont give you a place to mount the tangle free piece. That piece just sits in a drawer. It gets clogged easily. We had to replace one vacuum already after 5 months; possibly clog related. Since the vacuum is so strong and keeps working with small clogs, I highly recommend checking for clogs before each use. The mechanism for locking the vacuum in place upright is a little odd. I can see that breaking easily, as it is not smooth to engage or disengage. Ive already seen people selling them on facebook market place with this part broken. I think with a lot of care and love the vacuum will last a long time.

We were debating between a Shark Pet Pro and this and I’m SO glad we splurged and got the Dyson. This thing picks up EVERYTHING! Where before with our Bissell Pet Hair Eraser even on the lowest floor setting (for hard floors), I could never get stuff stuck in the grooves of some door mats I have - this thing made the door mats look brand new and picked up everything. I am AMAZED at the amount of dust this thing picks up - and as an expecting mama, I am glad we made the investment for a vacuum that will pick up dust and allergens from our carpeted areas for when we have our little one. It took me a few go’s to stop getting my shirt sleeves sucked to the top of the wand, but am used to it now. Pros: • Insane suction - picks up anything (WORTH THE $$$!) • Comes with any attachment you would need • Long cord Cons: • Hose is stiff and hard to stretch when using wand (hoping it loosens up over time) • Motorized attachment seems to fling small particles like litter around vs. suck them up • Vacuum doesn’t have place to attach motorized attachment so it must be stored separately
