I had owned my old Dyson for 15 years and decided it was time for an upgrade. And this was quite an upgrade. Light, easy to use and incredible suction. Enjoy the easy maneuvering of the ball.

Had an original Dyson for 12 years until it broke. Bought this one and immediately noticed the difference and improvements. This one is lighter and does not have the kick stand the original had so there's less chance for the rear wheel mechanism to break, which is what happened to my old cleaner. This one is also relatively quiet compared to the original(although the dog still doesn't like it). This cleaner comes with a variety of different nozzles that aid in helping clean hard to reach areas. Great at picking up dog fur even when a teenager runs it over the carpet at NASCAR speed.

I love and I hate this vacuum cleaner. I've had it for just over a year now and it works great. The upright functionality is amazing on our carpet. I feel like it's gotten our carpets much cleaner than any other vacuum we've used. Emptying the unit is also super simple and doesn't get a mess everywhere like others we've used before. The bad part... in order to use any of the attachments you must fully remove the cord and pull the wand out of the hose to just get to the hose. This is never convenient for a quick cleaning. That is my only frustration with this unit; hopefully this will help someone.

I have had several vacuums over the years! This is the absolute best vacuum I have ever used! It has great power and a very long cord! Also the attachment are very easy to take off and put on!

A tad pricey, see if you can get it on sale. Great vacuum overall

My second Dyson. My first lasted 10+ years. This one is great, but the durability of the plastic is not as strong. Great function/suction/vacuum, but feels like it could snap semi easily.

This is a god quality vacuum and quite durable for being mostly plastic. I've had this model for about six years and it has held up well, never requiring maintenance or repair (except to clean filters). I purchased this one for my mother as her inexpensive Dyson wanna-be lasted only a year. I would give it five stars except I still find the hose mechanism a little difficult and it's really pricey.

We bought this to replace a Kirby upright. The Kirby was a great vacuum, but the Dyson wins hands down. The removable canister is awesome, and the attachments work great. Much lighter, maneuverable, and more powerful.

I had a Dyson, which stopped working after 3 years. Bought a Shark that broke after 2 years. Came back to the Dyson - it is the best vacuum out there! However, it seeks like vacuums only last like 3 years these days. . . . .argh. Aside from this, I think the new bag design is worst than it used to be - seems hard to get on and off and don't like how you open the bottom to empty the canister.

Does the job well. Strong suction and easy to handle.

This is my second Dyson. Had a DC 17 upright for 10 yrs that got damaged. Compared to that one, the suction on the Animal Ball 2 is superior. Can't believe how much more suction there is! It is a little difficult to push on new carpet I guess from the increased suction. The ball is much lighter and easy to carry upstairs. IThe ball makes maneuvering a lot easier. The cons: the cord is not as long as the one on the DC17. Since the suction is so strong, I am having problems going over small area throw rugs - can't push it even with the brush bar off-have to use the the suction wand and attachments for small throw rugs. The suction wand on the ball is a little difficult to get back in and takes a little work. Plus it takes a few times getting it to lock into standing. . Other than those few quirks, I absolutely love it! Can't beat a Dyson when you have pets and fur to deal with.

I really like the Dyson Ball Animal 2. I have a German Shepherd and a Chihuahua. This is my first German Shepherd...and do they shed!! My regular vacuum would not pick up the hair...I did have to sweep first then vacuum due to so much hair. This suction on this vacuum is very good; I no longer have to sweep the whole house then vacuum...I just start it up and get the house clean in less time. The ball takes a minute to get adjusted to. The cord is extra long which I like and the dust collector is just a push button to dump. I highly recommend it have pets that shed a lot.

I bought this Dyson vacuum cleaner for my daughter who has two dogs. I have a Dyson that I've had for nearly 16 years and it's just as good as it was the day I bought it. Love this product. The Dyson vacuum cleaner thant I bought for my daughter was the canister ball vacuum cleaner It was easy to assemble easy to clean and empty. I think everybody should have one of these in their home. They are great! This Dyson also has attachments for hard to reach areas of cleaning very good.

We bought this vacuum during our move as we wanted something a bit less weight than our original dyson, which we've had for the past 10 years. It's still got plenty of life left and in great condition but was kind of heavy to push around. It was a easy decision to go for another dyson because of our previous experience and its quality. After some research, we went for the purple animal for better maneuverability and price, it did not disappoint. Much lighter and the ball design makes it so much easier to turn at corners and directions. Suction wise, its as strong as a dyson should be. Extra attachments are also helpful with reaching smaller corners and ceilings. Very happy with buy and would definitely recommend.

This was on sale about $200 off; great value. This replaced a previous Dyson that was used to clean up moldy and wet carpet (it did not survive unfortunately and we didn't realize the extent of the carpet damage or we wouldn't have used it to clean). That was the only reason we needed to replace as these Dyson last a long time and still perform well. The suction is great and the attachments and hose are very easy to use, even for kids. It's not too heavy and is easy to carry to our upstairs and also clean on the stairs as well. VERY good reach on the hose.

Love it but the down side that it is super powerful that its way to hard to use on my area carpet
