Really powerful and good for pet hairs. I little heavy but nothing to much

Generally good. The cleaning power is excellent, but note that it is too strong for thin carpets (they get sucked in and stuck). Picks up pet hair very well. Assembly was easy except for putting the cleaner head on the ball, which should be easy but is a bit fiddly. (I've used this vac for over a month now and find that the cleaner head often comes off.) Would recommend.

Great tool. It has great suction power. Almost too much that the wand it hard to use.

I have a German Shepherd, which puts shedding into a new level of “pet hair everywhere.” The Dyson is powerful and gets it all. The pet attachment saves my couch from being a hairy embarrassment. I love this Dyson

I love the maneuverability of this vacuum. I have had other cordless Dyson ones and boy does this one feel so much more powerful. I used to dislike the other ones because the fan was always blowing on my face and made vacuuming so hot, but this one gets into every nook and cranny, and it rolls around so nicely. I only wish it were not so heavy.

My shark’s belt broke and because the way they are made you cannot service them or do basic maintenance. Therefore, rather than buy another shark that would eventually need maintenance, and have to be thrown away again, I decided to go with a Dyson. This thing was a little tricky to put together, but I got it. This Dyson has major suction power. I didn’t even have it on the correct setting for my area rug and you should have seen the amount of dirt that came out of it. I love that you can turn the roller/beater off for bare floor. I feel that this vacuum cleans so much better than my shark ever did and the cord is so much longer. I do not have to unplug and replug it in to vacuum the main portions of my home. I’m still getting use to the feel of it, but it is worth paying more to get the Dyson than the shark.

I bought this to replace an older Dyson Dc24 which I absolutely loved, but the power head needs replacement. Instead of spending on a new power head I upgraded and kept the old one for wood floors, odd jobs etc. As much as i loved my DC24 for its tiny size & light weight, this new vacuum outperforms it. Definitely powerful suction! Crazy powerful. I love the attachments as well. The hose is longer than my DC24 & more rigid and while it can be tricky maneuvering, it’s amazing when reaching up to vacuum dust off ceiling fan, webs from crown molding etc. I actually vacuumed every day for a while just because it was so gratifying to CLEAN that well. It is worth the extra weight and bulk in the end. Also I was shipped one initially which was defective and the power head wouldn’t snap in place. Dyson customer service & Best Buy were both extremely helpful regarding my exchange.

The dyson ball animal 3 was very easy to setup out of the box. The suction has been great and so far has done well on not getting the roller clogged with hair especially with a home of 2 black labs and 2 girls.

I love this vacuum since I have two dogs. It really is powerful and it picked up so much more hair out of the rug and sofa upholstery. My prior vacuum would leave a lot of the small fine hair behind and I would have to clean multiple times, but this vacuum did it with one pass. Very robust product, but probably better for a larger home with more carpet than hardwoods. I really liked the pet grooming accessory, although it did freak out my dogs a little. The only flaw would be if you have to use the extension hose and extender attachment, which made it difficult to maneuver in tight places, like trying to clean my ceiling fans. On the other hand, I did not buy the vacuum with the complete set of attachments, which would have helped. I was also impressed with the length of the extension cord and did not have to unplug as often to change outlets.

Really good as most Dyson’s are! Is a bit heavy to lug around and is somewhat hard to use on my oriental rugs but great suction and easy to use!

Reaches easy, easy to assenpbke, use and clean. It is GREAT for pets, whether its litter, hair or kibble, it picks it up no problen. The cord is long and vacuuming is now my favorite chore.

The Dyson Animal 3 is the first vacuum of this series that I have purchased. The vacuum is moderately heavy for it’s kind. I loved the suction power of the vacuum and it’s ability to clean bare floors, carpets, and upholstery. My least favorite things about the vacuum is that it is extremely loud and is difficult maneuvering rooms and surface items.

Wish it was self driven. Best suction power by far. Superior pet hair pick up

Love the vacuum. The attachments work well and it does a fantastic job at picking up dog hair. It’s a little heavier than the cordless models, but does a much better job.

I've always heard great things about Dyson but had never purchased one of their vacuums. Was Hoover faithful. Tried a Bissell; and it was absolutely awful. Went out of my comfort zone in making such a hefty investment for this vacuum. But, it was absolutely worth it! By far, this is the BEST vacuum I have ever owned. We have dogs and cats - this machine picks up the hair so easily. I ran the Hoover and saw that hair was being picked-up. Then I ran the Dyson and so much more hair came up. This is an incredibly powerful machine. Absolutely worth the investment. I don't know why there's so much chatter about the weight. It's really not that heavy. And, it rolls on all surfaces so seamlessly.

This is the best vacuum for sucking up dirt, dust, pet hair, etc. I have a Dyson Animal vacuum I got 4 years ago & I thought that one was good. This one is so much better!!! It’s amazing that in only a few years time, the suction is more powerful than before. I thought it was going to suck up the luxury vinyl plank floor I just had installed. I love these vacuum cleaners because when you have a pet, they’re so powerful in cleaning up pet hair, fur balls, dust bunnies, etc. The only drawback is the weight of the vacuum because as it’s sucking up dirt, it’s heavy to push and pull. I’m 57 & don’t think of myself as weak. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed the better the vacuum, the heavier they’ve gotten. I wish they were lighter!

Dyson has been a game changer in my home.The diversity of this vacuum is remarkable with its many functions. Especially the pet groomer for our pets. This is just one feature that drue me to this product.Easy to use. Great multifunction all in one vacuum. Plus tremendous power to clean up the biggest messes with ease. I highly recommend The Dyson Ball Animal 3 extra upright vacuum, with 5 Accessories!

My husband and I have purchased cheaper vacuums for years and decided to spend a bit extra to invest in a quality vacuum that lasts. The first room - we were immediately sold and kicking ourselves for not investing sooner! We both have long hard and 2 dogs, 1 that sheds like crazy! The amount of hair this vacuum picked up that others couldn't touch was insane! It's still running beautifully 6 months later and we are so happy that we decided to pay the extra money. Rather than buying 3 cheap vacuums that will eventually give out, I highly recommend investing in a quality vacuum that will last over time! And, of you're a pet owner - this is the vacuum for you!!! (Trust me!!!)
