Gets up all the gair of the dog pretty easily and even if your wife or daughters hair gets stuck in the sweeper part of the vacuum its pretty easy to just take it out and get all of it off. Glad i bought this.

Good vacuum with a weak feeling handle

Love that when you vacuum hardwood or tile it doesn't throw the litter or dust back on your floor or feet. The suction is amazing. The fact that you can take almost all of it apart and clean it is amazing. No more smelly vacuum either!! The filters on this bad boy are amazing! Will never go back to using a Hoover. DYSON FOR LIFE!!

Device is quite heavy for and 87 year old man to push. When I registered the Animal 3, the Dyson website did not let me know they received the entry.

Not worth the cash but not a bad vacuum

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While the suction is fantastic the build quality is severely lacking, while extremely hard to keep clean, most of the handle and build of the vacuum is trash to much flex on the plastic and much to heavy, very dainty plastic parts very breakable. Wand absolutely is not very accessible and creates a structure issue the the main handle. Meanwhile the stand makes it sound like your breaking the vacuum each time you go to use it. It doesn't appreciate rugs depending on the rug. The hose is just lacking to be honest.

However, I feel the accessories are a bit cheaply made and to attach attachments to the wand seemed flimsy & inconvenient. As I said, it picked up great.But for the price, I feel like it should be better made

It is attached to the spine of the vacuum and does not extend out very far and when you do extend it out it is very awkward to use and trails the vacuum too closely. The previous corded dyson model we had was far superior so I did not find this to be worth $400+. The actual vacuum itself was awesome though and worked extremely well on our thick carpet. I think I'm going to give the newer cordless dyson a shot.

Amazing suction!

I just wanted the newest model since I have pets, and wanted to take advantage of the newest technology. The suction is AMAZING... and has 3 settings (bare floor, low pile, and high pile) that will alter the suction level. I do not love the extended handle though. The suction comes out of the top of the vacuum handle (where the hose feature is) when the vacuum is in an upright position. The hand held hose is kind of a pain to put back when you are done using it. I liked previous versions much better.

They had become quite expensive and they had some flaws so I purchased a different brand but it was not comparable to Dyson. So when it started loosing suction I found the Dyson on sale at Best Buy and I am happy to say the flaws that I experienced have been fixed and the suction is unbelievable.

I was skeptical of the price but would do it all over again! The suction is amazing pulls up a lot out of carpets & hair does not tangle of the brush!

The suction is far stronger than my first gen one. I only have two attachments, so I cant really speak on all the cool gadgets you can get for this thing. The one complaint I do have is when vacuuming if you bump the head against the basebord or a peice of sturdy furniture it makes a loud squeaking sound. Other than this binding squeaky sound it is a very nice unit.
