I love Dyson animal vacuums! My first one is over 20 years old and my Dyson Animal Vacuum 2 lasted 17 1/2 years. When the Dyson Animal Vacuum 3 went on sale, I purchased it. Free shipping too. Easy to assemble. It is the best model yet. It picks up so much dirt and dust from the carpet and floor. My floors look amazingly clean. The hose thoroughly cleans the stairs. I read reviews where people complained it was heavy to lift and push. I don’t find that to be the case at all. I push the vacuum easily and it’s not heavy. However, I do CrossFit four days a week. It also has a long cord so I don’t have to switch as many outlets when I go to each room. I recommend this vacuum! Watch Best Buy’s website for it to go on sale too.

I've heard that Dyson is top quality. A little more than I wanted to put into an upright, but BestBuy had a great price on one and I bought it. This vacuum is awesome. I have an old central vacuum that is about 50 years old and is ready to be replaced. But I don't think I will. I think I will buy another one of these for the upstairs. I vacuumed the carpet, hardwood, and rugs. They seemed clean. Then I vacuumed all the same ones and this machine got so much more car hair and just dirt. Never clogged, but I was shocked at how much my central vacuum is NOT picking up. The only cons I have is the weight and the attached hose. The weight is what it is. I can let that go just because of how well it vacuums and is not very loud. I figured to get what I need and desire, it probably comes with weight. The attached vacuum hose works very well, but is not as easy to use as some. It is stiff I have a feeling I'm going to crack the hose. Not the best attachment, but I'm going to do a little research to make sure I'm not doing anything incorrectly so NOT to crack the hose. Instructions are lacking in words. The pictures work, but there's a little more interpretation in the pictures that words could have assisted in better. Again, not a big deal to warrant a lower rating.

Man, I want to give this vacuum 5 stars but can’t due to a manor design flaw. I didn’t understand some of the reviews when they mentioned the handle and how awkward it is to use. We had a Shark vacuum and had been wanting to upgrade to Dyson. Well, we purchased this Dyson Animal 3 and immediately I was impressed! The suction on this thing is insane. Has three different levels and on the bare floor I feel like it is going to pull up the laminate flooring. Which for crumbs, small things, and dog hair it’s perfect. On carpet, it’s great as well. I have no complaints on the bottom roller, suction, movement, etc. However, this hose that is connected to the back of the vacuum is HORRIBLE! I wish they had a machine locally to see a demonstration but they didn’t and I trusted the brand name. Who engineered this part of the vacuum? Please tell them to find another job. The hose is long but ZERO FLEXIBILITY. I can’t describe in words but just know if you want to get in corners, around the house it is a difficult task. The picture you see of the lady smiling, getting in corners, aint no way she was happy with this machine for that job. You have to hold the vacuum or maneuver it a weird way so the hose doesn’t bend. If the hose bends even the slightest, it will lose suction. I wish I would have understood the reviews talking about this because I would have upgraded to a different style. Look, overall the machine itself is great. If you want to get your carpets cleaner than before, pick up pet hair with ease from multiple surfaces, it’s a beast. It’s just that hose design and flexibility is awful. Wish I could trade it in for an upgrade!

Works great - perfect for long haired animal clean up. On my second Dyson animal 3 for no other fact than I like a new one every couple of years but my old still works great, it’ll just getting bumped to the cabin and the house gets the new one!

A new version of our old model which was great for years. The new one was covered by the extra warranty I purchased when I bought the first one. This one has more suction, is lighter and easier to maneuver. A great deal!

GURLLLL.... Oh, I am just so excited to pour some tea on this upgraded hoover! I absolutely adore Dyson products; my home is always covered in fur from my dogs, so I needed something that could do a deep clean. I had tried several pet vacuums before that were lackluster, but this bad boy is a game-changer! This thing will suck the quills off of a porcupine. We needed a corded vacuum, as our cordless Dyson is 5 years old or so and is starting to lose some steam. It’s certainly not as convenient, but there is a ton of power on this Animal 3 Dyson. The amount of dirt, dust, and cat hair that piled up from our carpet was unbelievable. It’s heavy, but moves around pretty good. Easy to empty canister just like on the cordless Dyson. It’s good to have this vacuum, even if we decide to get a cordless. Hard to imagine anything having a stronger pull than this.

This is my second Dyson. My first one lasted thirteen years, still works but less suction. This new one is unbelievably powerful. The quality is superior than anything out there. Its very easy to use and has many improvements over the original Animal Vacuum. The new one has settings for different carpets and floor. Its easier to use the vacuum hose and return it to the correct position. It is a little harder to push on some carpets and its only because of the powerful suction that gets carpets totally clean. Totally awesome Vacuum.

When first using it , the power sounded awesome which it is , but after using it for 20 minutes or so it is too loud . Does the job well, just too loud also sucks up every throw rug we have, very powerful

I recently purchased the Dyson vacuum, and I’m beyond impressed! It has completely exceeded my expectations. The suction power is incredible, picking up dirt and debris from deep within my carpets, while still working wonders on hardwood floors. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and surprisingly quiet compared to my old vacuum. The accessories are super handy, especially for getting into those hard-to-reach corners. I love how easy it is to empty the dustbin without making a mess. Overall, this vacuum is worth every penny – I’m never going back to anything else!

Good vacuum but for the price it lacks some basic features and has a couple bad ones. First off the vacuum ways a ton! Not a little, a ton! Like at least 20-30lbs it feels like and is very rigid in moving or turning it. Also very bulky. No front lights on it which for me is a big why?? It helps to see all the crumbs and pet hair on the floor which is what this is designed for, with far cheaper vacuums having a pair. The part to remove the hose to have a separated vacuum to reach places is a pain and designed very poorly. It’s solid so to reach in places that bend in anyway is not possible or like with something directly in front of you, you would have to step away and for small items in your hand well good luck because you’ll need it to even get at it. Attachments are good but a bit annoying because you can’t store them on the vacuum, so if you need one you’ll have to go grab it from wherever it’s stored which is just an inconvenience. Cable is a good length and is easy to wrap. Buttons to switch power and modes are a bit annoying, you have to fully press them down for a second or so for them to do anything which is dumb and sometimes you have to do it multiple times. Overall the vacuum itself works very good, has amazing suction that picks up everything with great quality but the amount of lack of features or bad ones just isn’t worth the price compared to cheaper vacuums that have more basic features on them that this one lacks.

I have the world's hairiest dog and he sheds like crazy. There has not been a vacuum that could keep up with all the hair, until this one. I first borrowed an earlier model from a friend and when I saw how much it picked up, I had to have one. Admittedly, always been put off by Dyson's prices, BUT I took the plunge and I'm so glad I did. It's incredible what this sucks up. One pass through our master bedroom and it fills the canister—and I should mention, this is when it doesn't even look like there's much on the carpet. If you have pets, this is a MUST.

Yea. Dysons are expensive and some other brands offer just as good performace. Was luccky enough to catch a deal on this one and works great. Suction is crazy good, just be careful with area rugs or loose rug. Highly recommended if you can catch a sale when its cheaper than other brands in this price line.

This is the 4th Dyson we've purchased over the years and it works great for all the dogs and "fur babies". Plenty of suction. We are always amazed (and disgusted) with the amount of dander and hair this thing picks up. Only issue we always have is the entanglement of human hair on the beater bar brush. Clean it periodically and it works great. Average life for our Dyson is about 5-7 years before we start seeing issues. We run our vacuum about once per week but roughly 40-45 times per year, sweeping a 2900 SFT home.

Absolutely amazing. For those who need just a great vacuum without mop features. Great at picking up crusty items on the carpet. Easy to disassemble and clean without professional services. Easily lasts 5+ years. Have two corgis and a husky and the hair is pretty much not a thing.

This is a powerful, heavy dut- vacuum cleaner. It weighs a lot so some users may not be able to manage it. The ability to easily raise and lower the unit for floor to shag carpet height is a plus.
