Good vacuum but for the price it lacks some basic features and has a couple bad ones. First off the vacuum ways a ton! Not a little, a ton! Like at least 20-30lbs it feels like and is very rigid in moving or turning it. Also very bulky. No front lights on it which for me is a big why?? It helps to see all the crumbs and pet hair on the floor which is what this is designed for, with far cheaper vacuums having a pair. The part to remove the hose to have a separated vacuum to reach places is a pain and designed very poorly. It’s solid so to reach in places that bend in anyway is not possible or like with something directly in front of you, you would have to step away and for small items in your hand well good luck because you’ll need it to even get at it. Attachments are good but a bit annoying because you can’t store them on the vacuum, so if you need one you’ll have to go grab it from wherever it’s stored which is just an inconvenience. Cable is a good length and is easy to wrap. Buttons to switch power and modes are a bit annoying, you have to fully press them down for a second or so for them to do anything which is dumb and sometimes you have to do it multiple times. Overall the vacuum itself works very good, has amazing suction that picks up everything with great quality but the amount of lack of features or bad ones just isn’t worth the price compared to cheaper vacuums that have more basic features on them that this one lacks.

I recently purchased the Dyson vacuum, and I’m beyond impressed! It has completely exceeded my expectations. The suction power is incredible, picking up dirt and debris from deep within my carpets, while still working wonders on hardwood floors. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and surprisingly quiet compared to my old vacuum. The accessories are super handy, especially for getting into those hard-to-reach corners. I love how easy it is to empty the dustbin without making a mess. Overall, this vacuum is worth every penny – I’m never going back to anything else!

This vacuum is expensive but it is well worth the quality you get for the price. It is powerful and the handheld function does not disappoint. The fact that you can clean it and the filter is water resistant is a major plus. I clean minds just about every quarter of the year and it works like new every time. I buy this product again.

I have the world's hairiest dog and he sheds like crazy. There has not been a vacuum that could keep up with all the hair, until this one. I first borrowed an earlier model from a friend and when I saw how much it picked up, I had to have one. Admittedly, always been put off by Dyson's prices, BUT I took the plunge and I'm so glad I did. It's incredible what this sucks up. One pass through our master bedroom and it fills the canister—and I should mention, this is when it doesn't even look like there's much on the carpet. If you have pets, this is a MUST.

I usually have shark products, when I needed a new vacuum, I decided to a Dyson based on everyone saying how good they are. It was easy to assemble with the help of YouTube videos. The bottom roller CONSTANTLY falls off and I have to keep putting it back on. It vacuums great and sucks up a lot of my German shepherd’s dog hair. Using the wand is challenging because it’s SO stiff right now and hard to use. I now have a sock stuck and have to watch YouTube to figure out how to take the wand apart. I like how much it cleans but it’s difficult to use and irritating. I’ve had it over a month now and vacuum my wooded floors at least once a day. I’m not sure at this point if I would buy another Dyson product. I think I would stick to the ease of using a Shark and the price.

Yea. Dysons are expensive and some other brands offer just as good performace. Was luccky enough to catch a deal on this one and works great. Suction is crazy good, just be careful with area rugs or loose rug. Highly recommended if you can catch a sale when its cheaper than other brands in this price line.

Absolutely amazing. For those who need just a great vacuum without mop features. Great at picking up crusty items on the carpet. Easy to disassemble and clean without professional services. Easily lasts 5+ years. Have two corgis and a husky and the hair is pretty much not a thing.

Works great. The suction is very strong and I haven’t had any hair tangled around the roller. Just what I was looking for.

We've had several Shark vacuums and after our last one finally bit the dust (the plastic parts just falling apart over time) we decided to get a top of the line Shark...again. It arrived in a plain brown box with a small Shark logo, poorly packed and totally beat up. Needless to say I returned it immediately, and went online in a rage purchase and bought the Dyson Animal 3. I picked it up and the packaging was great, premium all the way. Really well packed, and simple to assemble. This machine totally sucks...really hard! It works great, is quieter than the Shark and picks everything off the floor and rugs. It is a little difficult to push through higher piled rugs and is a little on the heavy side, but other than that is a great well-thought-out machine. I highly recommend it.

Nice cleaning power. A little hard to push. Our last Dyson lasted about 13 years. Easy to release dirt & dust from the receptacle. They are unquestionably reliable, sturdy vacuums.

I’ve owned 5 Dyson vacuums in total. They quality is nothing like it use to be. Just comparing my last animal ball upright to this one, hands down Dyson is all about profit. The suction seems equal, but pushing the vacuum shouldn’t be so hard. My old Dyson had pull and it wasn’t so hard to vacuum. It was quite enjoyable. With this new upright I feel like you need to be super woman just to do a simple task. Vacuuming shouldn’t be that hard. Don’t waste your money. Do your research and find a better vacuum for your house!

This is the 4th Dyson we've purchased over the years and it works great for all the dogs and "fur babies". Plenty of suction. We are always amazed (and disgusted) with the amount of dander and hair this thing picks up. Only issue we always have is the entanglement of human hair on the beater bar brush. Clean it periodically and it works great. Average life for our Dyson is about 5-7 years before we start seeing issues. We run our vacuum about once per week but roughly 40-45 times per year, sweeping a 2900 SFT home.

This is a powerful, heavy dut- vacuum cleaner. It weighs a lot so some users may not be able to manage it. The ability to easily raise and lower the unit for floor to shag carpet height is a plus.

Powerful vacuum that sucks up everything in the vicinity. Bought it to help with cleaning up my dog's hair, and it is definitely worth it. Have used it on multiple carpets and hardwood. It can be slightly difficult to maneuver depending on the setting, but I found the setting that works well for me. While pricey, I would recommend given it accomplishes what it advertises.
