Third Dyson continues to be a vacuum champ!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This particular Dyson - Ball vacuum is our third for our homes. The first one was borrowed and came back broken. Lesson learned there. The second one is at our other home. And this one is happy at this home. They do such a fantastic job and so easy to operate. Like I said in previous reviews, the fine people at Dyson were brilliant with the ball concept. We try to use the vacuum every other day in spots and once a week all over. Carpets and flooring looks great.

A great compact vacuum that gets the job done
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love how compact it is, yet powerful. The animal attachment definitely works, pulling out lots of long hair from my carpet. You might get clumps of hair that don't get sucked up first round but I'd rather have easily picked up clumps than all that hair just laying in the carpet. One way or another the hair comes out, a must have for people with longer hair. It does struggle with my thicker rug a bit but seems to do fine with normal carpeting. Feels solid and not cheap, an awesome little machine. I like all the attachments and adjustments you can make. It's easy to figure out how to change things, no searching for what buttons to press or how to attach/detach. (Unlike other machines that had capabilities but I couldn't see how to make it happen).

Great Vacuum
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With this being my first "high end" vacuum purchase, I have been very satisfied with the vacuum capabilities of the Dyson. Since we have a dog and had allergy problems we felt it was time to upgrade to this. The first time I vacuumed it sucked up so much fine particles from our carpet that the other had failed to even touch. As far as the attachements they are satisfactory. I agree with other reviewers that the suction is so strong that it can actually make the hose hard to use. As far as overall quality, the vacuum is heavy but still manages to feel cheap. The build quality is not up to the par of a $600 vacuum and I hope some small pieces of it don't break any time soon. But overall I'm am happy with the purchase.

This Dyson is the best vacuum I’ve owned!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.5 years ago I bought my first Dyson and immediately fell in love. I received this as a gift now that I have inside cats and I was shocked at how clean my floors looked. My other Dyson still works, but this version is amazing. It goes from carpet to tile without changing a setting. The suction on it is fantastic. I’ve always used the tools and these are easy to use. I love how the ball rotates as I’m vacuuming to get under my coffee table and couches. I’m so excited!

Great vacuum, huge power
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outside of a small challenge in assembling the vacuum, everything else has been amazing. This is my second Dyson, and especially when they go on sale, there's nothing better. We got this one as my previous Dyson was not made for pets, and we now have a Golden. Dyson packs enormous suction power and several attachments - which would only be made better if they could be stored on the vacuum itself. I'll highly recommend, especially when on sale!

Surprised,
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You really don’t realize how much more suction a hi end sweeper has until you use one. This replaced a two year old Hoover that died and the difference was dramatic in what this unit picks up and removes from the carpet. The attachments also work well. If you want a sweeper that does what it says then this is for you.

LOVE MY DYSON
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always wanted a Dyson and when i saw this one on sale I knew I had to get it. I absolutely love it. A bit heavy, but cleans so much more pet hair (3 cats) than my Shark that I had prior to this!

It’s ok
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was expecting a lot more. The suction on the bar is amazing, but all vacuums that are new do this. The extension is not user friendly, who thought to make the extension apart of the stable part of the vacuum. When I’m using the extension, which I use a lot. It pulls a lot and can’t extend, the wand goes down the hose. Your not able to do short distance and it’s not long enough to reach the ceiling. When extension is out the vacuum becomes unstable , dragging the unstable base around is cumbersome. There is no place to store the bar for stairs. Very heavy and unstable to use for the stairs. The bagless trap is not very big so have to change often. The cord is fine when using in large spaces but small rooms is awful. The cord is a tie up and if you tie up until you need the length you want. It unravels quickly. Have to tie up on arm like a extension cord to keep off ground. I wish vacuum companies would let people who use them everyday try before selling to the masses. Always wanted a dyson thinking it would be the best. It’s not even close. I wouldn’t pay over $200 for this. The suction of the bar is the only good thing.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your review. We're glad to hear that you have been so impressed with the suction from the Dyson Ball Animal. With regard to the hose, I can confirm that we would essentially expect the hose to become more flexible with time and use. A few tips we can provide would be attaching your accessories directly to your hose, as this will also help expedite stretching the elasticity of the hose. Dyson vacuums are engineered with versatility in mind and attachments may be used on either the wand or directly on the machine itself for added convenience. Also, when stretching the hose out we would recommend starting by stretching the part of the hose that is nearest to the vacuum first when extending this part to clean your home. We would actually recommend checking to ensure the wand is not obstructed and that the hose is not sucking into itself as the hose is not something we would expect to be an issue during use.
While we never expect issues to occur, Dyson does back your new machine from an authorized retailer with a free 5-year guarantee. We would value the opportunity to assist you, to help ensure your Dyson is working properly. Please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected]. We are keen on providing you with support and learning more about your experience.
Best wishes,
Kelly

It sucks
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highly recommend dyson products and when our old vacuum passed it was time to upgrade. This modelnis a bit on the weighty side but really makes daily cleaning a breeze. The attachments are a bice touch for harder to reach places

My Second Dyson!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is great. I love the suction it provides when picking up anything within my rooms. I owned the first model Dyson Animal and knew when I needed another vacuum which brand I was going with. The attachments is just added perk. I know the price is a bit much but my first one lasted over 10 years and its still going strong. I handed it down so I could get the new one with the ball. Since I got mine for half off the price I couldn't pass up the deal.

This thing SUCKS! (In a great way)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best vacuum I’ve bought. Suction is worlds better than the lesser Bissells and Dirt Devils. I like the fact that you can engage the rollers or turn them off to clean different surfaces (rugs or hard floors). I also like the fact that the attachments they give you actually work. It is also the only vacuum I’ve used that can pull Pug hair off of any cloth surface easily. This something we have fought with for several years.

Best vacuum on the planet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a vacuum to re-lace the Dyson we had. Our old Dyson still worked but we wanted to take it up to the 2nd floor and buy new one for main floor. These machines do what they say there going to do, our Dyson has never let us down so it was a no brainier what to buy for a 2nd vacuum. Got the animal and was not disappointed, great job on carpet or bare floors. Attachments are great for stairs and smaller spaces to keep clean. I would definitely recommend this vacuum for anyone who has a pet and wants to keep carpet clean.

Best Vacuum I have owned.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned 4 vacuums in the past 15 years prior to this new purchase. Hands down, this is the best I have ever used. To qualify, I have never owned a Dyson, so there may be better Dyson models, but too me, this thing is awesome! Super simple to un-box and assemble as I was vacuuming within 10 minutes. The maneuverability is tremendous and the carpets are cleaner than ever. The csnaster is easy to empty and I really enjoy vacuuming again! Well maybe not that much but it does make it easier and more fun...

Great vacuum...strange construction
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum sucks...very well, as you would expect from a Dyson. We picked it up on one of Best Buy’s weekly Deal of the day sales on Dyson vacuums. They always pop up but we were in the market for a new vacuum and we decided to try the Dyson stock vacuum first. The battery life on those vacuums are horrible. We decided to return it and just go for the normal plug in vacuum model. It works great, no issues with the vacuum, there are no bags so you don’t need to spend more money on bags and you can just dump the canister when it’s full. Very nice, the only complaint I have with the vacuum is the odd way the hose is put into the vacuum. It’s part of the handle of the vacuum which is kind of neat, you have to slide it out of the handle and it’s hose comes out and you can use it like normal. It’s not very long, and the hard part is putting it back in. It does not slide in smooth like you would expect it to. You have to play around with it and try and get it to go in. It sometimes seems impossible and then you have to take it out again and try again. It’s the worst part of the vacuum, other than that it’s perfect.

Light weight and easy to use.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned a Dyson vacuum for many years. My old Animal just got too heavy so switched to the new ball version. The vacuum is very easy to steer and the suction is great. I have the same complaint as many others, it is difficult to lock it back in the upright position after using, especially with one hand. My particular vac has a squeek in the power head right out of the box, but I'll try a little WD40 to silence it.
